OK here it goes.... You should at least look into the Provari. It is one bad beast and I drop drop drop mine constantly and she works like a charm every time I pick her up off the ground. She is the top of the line for variable voltage. ProVari Variable Voltage Ecig: Best Variable Voltage E Cig Available! If you want him to marry you get him a Provari:D

The BB sounds great, Is this similar or more advanced than the smoke tech e-power? I was thinking of getting a starter kit as a next step/backup to KGO. I see this is a bit more costly, but if its that rugged and lasting, It would be great to spend the extra. The BB is elegant especially in the black

I have never used a BB, but have used a Silver Bullet a few times. They are a rugged and extremely well built tool. I have a KGO and, while I like it very much and am happy I bought it, the BB is in a different league in terms of quality. I don't think the Silver Bullet I used vaped any better than the KGO (they are both 3.7volt devices), but the SB or BB will be vaping away long after the KGO is in the trash.

The only advantages I can see of the KGO over the BB would be size (the KGO is very slim and pocketable) and the battery probably vapes for more hours in a day than the BB battery would. But, the BB is pretty small itself and carrying an extra battery or two shouldn't be a big deal.

Are you buying knock off ego's? The joyetech ego's I've tried are very good batteries that last well over a few months. I have had the ego twist for a few weeks and it's an awesome PV. I use it so much more then my provari, I sold the provari yesterday .

Joyetech states in their literature that the estimated lifespan of a 650mah eGo battery is 4-6 months. Using a 650mah battery at the higher voltages typically used with a VV device will shorten that lifespan considerably.

If you sold your Provari, I suggest you put the money under your pillow and save it for another Twist or two when they die.

Larger capacity batteries will last longer, of course. But no ego battery has a discharge rating approaching that of any of the better cylindrical lithium batteries. The higher the C-rating, the less wear is incurred by a battery during use, regardless of the current drain.

I wouldn't want to take a Provari out hiking or camping or boating or anything like that. It would survive, but it's too risky of an environment for a Provari for my comfort. Even if a Provari had survived the abuse my BB has taken, (and it wouldn't have), it would look as bad as my BB and I'd care a whole lot more. I can strip and refinish my BB. Not a Provari.

Hello again..... I guess I put too much information on that reply, I know the KGo is a great standard to start off with, but I was actually asking if the BB would be equal to or better than my possible step/back up , I was thinking of getting Smoke techs e-power. I like the fact that the battery cover is not throw away and you just buy batteries. The BB is very very nice looking and it being a 510 it would be compatible with all my future "bits" that Im sure I will be getting for KGO. I really really love all this personalization . Since I know this is going to be a way of life for me,not just a step to quitting all sorts of puffing.

The e-Power is a step up from a kGo, mainly due to the replaceable batteries and switch. The BB is a big step up from the e-Power in terms of quality and durability and reliability, but it's 3.7V, so it won't be vaping any better than the battery you put into it, just like the e-Power. It's smaller than the e-Power, but the biggest 14500 battery you can get is a little smaller than the 14650 battery an e-Power takes. Actually the batteries are the same diameter, but the e-Power's battery is about 1/2 inch longer.

The other thing about the BB is the feel of it. The switch, the weight, the overall feel of holding it. It feels like a really high quality tool. It's not too fat or too thin. It's just big enough to be comfortable in your hand and small enough to completely conceal in a closed fist. The button is the perfect size, it's in the perfect spot and has a great feel to it as well. I bet I put a thousand cycles on my button just because I liked the way it felt when I pressed it. Weird, I know.

I agree with everything but one minor point, I have small hands, so I can not conceal my BB in my fist, but I can hold it comfortably which is not something I can say about all the PV's I have seen

Yeah I've heard the ego battery's last about 6 months. I'm not a chain vapor and only vape my twist around 4.0 v With LR boges. So im hoping it will last longer. Don't get me wrong I loved my provari, it's the best PV I've used hands down. I just found myself using the twist all the time because it's alot smaller and easier to carry around. At 25 bucks at even 3 a year is worth it IMO. If you don't mind your PV a little on the heavy side then the provari is the way to go.
