I recently purchased a set of the Ego-C's for myself and my wife. (2/4/13) And both of us are unsatisfied with the tanks it sells with, issues with hers leaking when I am at school during the week and unable to troubleshoot that myself. (I haven't had any issues with it myself apart from my own user errors.)

I have been looking at -

Vision VERSION 2 clearomizer with replaceable atomizer

Vision Vivi Nova clearomizer tank system

but unsure about the 2nd as I read some reviews and I am not particularly thrilled about the plastic threads into the tank and sounds as if others have had some issues with it cracking/spidering.

The first link seems pretty solid to me, but I want something that works with the batteries I already have from purchasing the sets and will still give a good vape - and decent construction especially in terms of leaking.

Still want it to be refillable and replaceable atomizers etc.

Thank you for any help - the FNG

(Also, does anyone know what ohm the atomizers are that come with the starter kits? and if adjusting up or down from that would provide much benefit.)

There are some flavors, most notably cinnamon and some citrus flavors, that can have a chemical reaction with the clear plastic used (polycarbonate) in clearomizers and tanks. A list of those flavors are in this link:

There are metal tube replacements available for the Vivi Nova tanks which would allow the use of those flavors. However, only the tubes that are totally metal all the way around would be safe; there are versions of the metal tubes that have a clear plastic-tubed window that would not be safe, as that window is polycarbonate and still susceptible to cracking.

Being that cartomizers are made of metal, they are a safe alternative to the plastic tubed tanks and clearomizers. A "punched" cartomizer can be placed into a cartotank to enjoy the same liquid capacity as a Vivi Nova tank, but again the cartotank needs to be made of pyrex glass, polypropylene plastic (frosted tube), or metal.
