Looking for suggestions

So I'm not even a week into my transition to vaping and I've made a few discoveries.

1. My Halo G6 is nice and does the job for a night out, but the 280 mAh batteries don't last long enough to hold me through the day.
2. I like tanks over carts, but the 1ml mini-tanks aren't enough without a refill when I'm out or driving people around for work.

So I'm looking for suggestions for the step up. Sure, being that I like Halo's stuff I could just move on to the Triton system, but I see lots of gear that's the same or better for less. Here's my criteria for what I'm looking for:

1. Longer battery life.
2. Stay in the tube shape [It's a person thing, but the boxes don't look right in my mind.]
3. Is there such a thing as a quiet tank? I sound like I'm trying to take a big hit off a .... with my little G6
4. Easy draw. Sometimes I feel like I'm overworking myself trying to take a hit from the G6.
5. It's got to have style. [Because, well, look at my avatar.]

I like the G6 and I think it was a good starting point and I can see taking this out with me for a few hours out at a party, but if I'm going out to some longer event I'll need at least a 650 mAh batter or maybe even a 1100mAh battery because I can tell when the battery starting to die on the G6 as it's harder to get a hit [is that a voltage drop?]

I've gotten good advice so far from everyone so I'm figuring you'll do it again for me.

Thanks,
Eric
P.S. So far Halo's Longhorn is my favorite ADV.

Hmm, well avoiding a box mod style (MVP2 is the best bang for the buck on a step up) you could do a VV eGo like a Twist with a vision vivi nova to have battery life, power and a quiet tank. It is not the best ever set up - but a decent upgrade for a reasonable price to move to from G6. I would say a cartotank - but they are noisy lol. If you have a little more to spend you could consider something like a Sigelei Zmax as well.

Hope this helps get you started!

I am only 10 days into vaping and have an Ego with a few tanks- Evod, iclear16,vivi mini nova bdc and a protank 3. I seem to enjoy the vivi mini nova bdc the most now but at first I preferred the evod. I know most people would say I'm crazy for not saying the protank 3 is the best out of them but I just feel the vivi mini nova works the best on the ego. I do love everything about the protank 3 except that I do not believe the ego is doing it justice. I don't have much knowledge about how variable voltage works but I have a feeling the ego isn't heating the protank coils up enough to produce a heavy vape because when I put the protank on a provari and a local brick and mortar it worked wonderful. The ego I have is a clone and not variable voltage so I think thats why it can't heat the protank up enough. I have a provari on order so once it gets here I will see. Another word of advice, if you can afford to purchase a "higher end " vape then do it, you'll save money in the long run then buying multiple vapes and working your way up to a top vape. Ego clone was purchased without knowledge and I should have done my research earlier !

without breaking the bank i would suggest an evod starter kit. 2 batteries ,charger, 2 tanks, five extra coils and it comes in 8 matching colors (style right?). my lady friend has been using these exclusively for 6 months while i spend a ton on high end items ;- ).

ElectronicStix.Com · Kanger EVOD 650mAh Starter Kit nice people, fast shipping and real time customer service!

hope this helps. <*}}}>{

I've seen a lot of people talk about the EVOD. Is the EVOD specific to Kanger or is that more or less just a style? Also can you swap tanks and parts on that one?

i assume there are knock offs but stick with kanger if you go this route. it is a brand not a stlye. replacement coils can be found cheap by the 5 pack, much more expensive at a B&M. i thought it met all your requirements and @ $40 plus shipping it literally can't be beat IMO
best of luck.

The evod is made by Kanger originally, but I suppose there would be clone evods that are labelled EVOD but not labelled Kanger because they are not made by Kanger.

The miniprotank is basically a pyrex and steel version of the EVOD. The downside of the miniprotank compared to the evod is it does not come with a metal jacket around it; wierd isn't it; the plastic evod comes with a metal jacket, but the glass miniprotank doesn't.

There's the Smoktech ARO, which is pyrex covered in a metal jacket; it is a pyrex version of the evod; it is harder to find though; it also comes with a non replaceable metal mouthpiece; the miniprotank2 has a replaceable metal mouthpiece, and well as replaceable glass tube.

+1 for this. I've had tremendous luck with Innokin products as well as Kanger Tanks. Hell, I still use my original protank! VV/VW is always a bonus for finding that sweet spot with your juice, and well...this little setup is pretty sexay (and affordable)!
