Hey guys. I've been vaping for a good few months now and the I'm STILL looking for the perfect set up. Here's what I've tried.

V4L Auto/Manual slim batteries + V4L Cartomizers.

Smokeless Image Auto Slim batteries + X2 auto/manual and the new Volt Spinner VV battery. I've used every carto/clearo/tank that they have.

Green Smoke starter kit.

What I'm currently vaping on is my collection of Smokeless Image stuff. X2 Auto / Volt Spinner Manual VV used with T3 Clearo

My problem: I'm a chain vaper. I'm usually sitting at my computer and I vape damn near constantly (I take a hit every 30secs all the way up to 10mins). As I vape I seem to get less and less throat hit and my clearos seem to burn out to fast. I dont sit there and constantly hit it or burn a 5-10 sec hit on a manual battery. I do give it time to wick. One of the issues I'm having is that even after a few minutes of not taking a hit my clearo will taste burnt as were the hit before was just fine. Or one hit will give good vapor and then the next one gives very little. As far as my slim style ecigs go, my cartos seem to do nothing for me and its like vaping air. Also I forgot to mention. All of my juice is from smokeless image and is 24mg.

So I'm thinking i need to go and buy a new set up. My experience so far has been with all KR808 stuff and I'm thinking maybe i should try 510 out? I really like the slim cigarette style models so I'd like a good one of those. I havent smoked in 3 years and even still i miss the motions of and the ease of use of a regular cig. Prefer not to have to fiddle with buttons or big honking clearos or tanks. I dont mind refilling cartos at all. I just want something that makes me happy.

Well Bob, I really dont want to be the guy with the bad news but....... In the slim battery world, the defacto winner is the Kr808... It has better voltage output than the same size 510 model, The 510 generally is 3.2v, where the 808 is 3.7v...... and the larger 808s struggle less with lower(~2.4ohm) ohm load cartos. This makes them one of the go-to batteries if slim higher performance is a requirement.

What the 808 lacks is a wide array of differences in cartomizer selection, you may be better off to stick with the 808s, but add an adaptor to get 510threading. Then you get the whole plethora of cartomizers available. In general the 510 attachments have (opinion) better selection. I too am a chain vaper, and can attest to the boge 510 as being a capable cartomizer, without having to fiddle with them in nearly any way.......

Have yall seen the Joyetech eroll? I just found that thing and omg it looks sexy. Not only does it look awesome but its a small stick style and from the videos ive seen the vapor is awesome! im just a little wary about the atomizer thing. I've only ever used cartomizers or some variety of tank. But from what ive seen it might be nice to have something that burns jukce directly instead of a wicking mechanic.

Ah, the quest for attainable perfection.

I will not utter the phrase here. But continue spending time on ECF and you will surely come to know it (the mystical phrase of which I speak), and either agree with it (enthusiastically) or utterly despise it.

But yes (Virginia), there is a Santa Claus.

After looking into it a bit im seriously considering getting an Ego-C kit and the Eroll. It seems like a much better system to me but please by all means educate me if you have experience with it. I've read some pretty nice things and will continue to research until i decide to make a purchase.

thanks all for your help. As always its be invaluable.

Hi Again Bob. Well..... I personally do not appreciate the eGo-c....specifically the feed system, the batteries are fine.... I would suggest the eGo- twist(or Vision spinner) if you wont mind the size of an eGo class battery. Top that with any number of available cartos, clearos, or tanks and you have a winning situation.... just my two pennies...

i know that it is hard to go strait for the mods, but you will be happier with it in the long run. i have tried a lot of the starter kits and they always left me wanting more. there are a lot of good mods made right hear in the usa. i would say that a bombshell would be a good start. it is low cost and it it made in the us and it ships fast. get some 306 dripping attys and youll never go back to the cigarette lookalikes.

I have and use an eroll all the time. Its a great little cigalike vape machine. But if you are a chain vaper then you will go through the tanks very fast. A tank will last me less than 10 minutes if I am chain vaping. I also have an ego c and it works similar. Not comparable IMHO to a ego T. The tanks last a little longer but you loose the cig feel. For hanging at the house on the computer there is nothing better than a good RBA or tank Carto set up. Good luck with your search for perfection.

These people are right. I had the cig-a-like thing at first too. The next month I bought an eGo-C passthrough battery and some clearos and haven't used the Kr808 280 maH batt since. I'm on here too looking for the perfect setup. I have particular circumstantial needs as well, and I've been on here for a couple months now. I think I'm getting close though ...

I recommend you pick up an eGo-C Twist, a charger and a Smok eGo tank, get some extra cartos for it (they take special ones, BTW) and don't look back. Cost you under $50. A week after you have a setup like that, your view will change.

Have to agree. I've been a dripper for 4 years, now I'm trying tanks so I can stop carying little bottles around my toddler. So far the best thing I've tried in terms of flavor and TH is an ego dual coil tank utilizing 2-2.5ohm single coil cartomizers (specifically for Ego DCT) with 2 extra holes punched with a nail, on top of an Ego twist battery at whatever voltage suites the liquid.

Ultimately, I think dripping is still the best rout to perfection. In front of PC: pass-through with bridgeless or standard 510 atty's. Traveling: carto tank. Still love my mods though and hoping for a good experience with RBA's, too. But for daily carry I find the Ego more crowd friendly and beats the heck out of the cig-alikes I started with.

The eroll/emini is a good cigalike. You can fill up 10-20 tanks and store them in little plastic AA battery cases. Swapping is pretty quick. But ultimately many seem to transition to larger set ups. When I made the move, I still had my skinnies available along side a larger battery. Pretty soon, I found I wasn't ever using the slims anymore. I still have them and will occasionally pull them out if I feel the urge for a "real" smoke but that doesn't happen often. It was very "freeing" to not continually charge batteries every hour.

My only problem with the Vivi Nova is the way the caps are designed as two pieces pressed together. I went through two in the last month, dropping and sitting on them, causing those pieces to spread apart. I also had to rebuild stripped threads with CA glue, but not on the metal version. Some of the atty heads tasted good though. The Kanger mt3 turned out to be a lot more sturdy, although the atty that came with mine was nasty harsh and never wanted to break in.

To the OP:

I kind of do the same thing--I have a tendency to not only chain vape in fromt of my PC, but also during my commute to and from work. I like using the ego-Twists, and I use the ViVi Nova tanks. For home, though, I recently purchased a Smoktech Zmax (which isn't close to being a slim e-cig, but it definitely allows me to chainvape all day with no worries!)
