First... it appears you are only paying attention to the negative reviews of certain products.... First thing I learned was that not all people have the same results or issues as others. On the Vivi Nova v2.5 and the new Stardust Rebuildables, most like them as they are with the only alteration that some people prefer is short wicks vs the long ones... and that last one is a personal preference which the factory can't take into account for.

Sure, not all people have the same results. But for the products I've used, definitely not just GotVapes, most of them require modding to even get them to work. I'm not talking improved performance (That's a big one) but to even get them to fire is an issue, and getting them to wick at all is an issue.

I got an order of Phoenix's. One wouldn't fire, one leaked like crazy no matter what I did, and one has been sitting for well over a day and STILL hasn't wicked at all. I've tried everything besides taking it apart (No modding on this one) and it glows VERY bright red and burns.

My first order of Fluxomizers, all 5 had some issues. The first three tasted terrible, took it apart and the plastic seal was black from being charred. The next one's seal was only brown (Better than it being black I guess) and the last one wouldn't wick at all really. I could get one vape every 20 minutes or so that tasted good.

And this is to just get them to function... Not improve the functionality of it.

The variations in the different juices ( thick or thin etc ) make it where certain cartos/clearo's work out of the box with certain juices but if you change the juice... suddenly a change is needed in the seals or other areas.. There is no way a factory can make one product work 100% of the time with all of the variations that exist... Even the subject with the silicone seals getting scorched can't be completely addressed since the difference between a scorched one and one that didn't scorch is less than a millimeter... in otherwords just raising the seal ever so slightly means it won't scorch but if you put in a drip tip that is a bit long and it pushes the seal down... again it scorches. If they make the wick slots larger to help avoid dry hits with a certain juice, then the thinner juices will over wick and you have a leaky clearo.

I only use very thin juices from two vendors, so wicking should not be an issue. I could accept leaking, but a huge problem is wicking. There's no variation in my juices, so that's not the problem.

They require modding most of the time to even work, which is the issue. I could handle only modding if I wanted improved performance, but not to actually make them function in the simplest way, which would be to work at all.

Also, why not just get rid of that stupid seal in it anyways? Like the bottom part opposite of the nipple. It serves no purpose besides getting charred and making it taste terrible.

Because of these types of variations ( of which I only covered a few characteristics of )... the factories set each one up for what they classify as "average" juice and use.... If you have chosen a juice that isn't that "average" or if you vape in a mannor that is different ( chain vape perhaps ).... that will affect how the carto/clearo behaves.

If I'm having this much trouble with wicking/burning with some of the thinnest juices out there, I can't believe what people do with anything even slightly thicker.

I do completely respect and love GotVapes for what they're doing. They're the pioneers. They have new products months before anyone else, and they continue to churn out great devices in the world of vaping.

In fact, whenever I'm out at the bars or at a party and bring my PV, everyone always asks about it and how to get one. I always refer them to GotVapes first and foremost.

But it is pretty frustrating to go on and on with the dozens of people I've talked to about vaping and getting in to it and have to end every conversation with, "Oh, if you do decide to get into the world of vaping, you should get into contact with me so I can help you get them to work. They can be pretty frustrating!"

Matt not sure what you are using for juice, but you should try the regular stardust. open it, put in juice, close it, and vape away. I have yet to get a burned hit from them no matter what juice I put in.

I can't speak of the rebuildable stardusts cause I have not tried them yet... and the regular stardust have to be from gotvapes, or who knows what your really getting.

if you still have wicking issues, try a few drops of pga or vodka per ml of juice.... or maybe another vendor for your juice...
