Hi all I have ordered a joyetech EGO-C which should be here soon. I have been smoking menthol for 25 years a pack a day sometimes more. I have tried the smoking everywhere e-cig about three years ago what a waste of money. I have been reading a lot of post from other members who have managed to quit analogs by vaping. I am hoping the EGO-C can give me the same feeling that analogs do will be using 24mg liquid. The biggest concern I have will be first thing in the morning after meals and at bedtime.

I think u have a made a great decision for yourself. Vaping has helped me get of cigs for about 6 weeks now. I can't even stand the smell of a real cig these days. If ur open minded about the process to find your own sweet spot, then I think u will have success. Good luck and keep in mind it takes a little while to find what works best for you. The great thing is, there is so much out there, you will for sure find it!

Good choice to start with... Now the fun starts with finding a juice that satisfies you. So many variables, nic mg, pg/vg ratios, and flavors. Is the kit you ordered coming with cartridges and a atomizer? Or? You should look into some different options i.e. cartomizers, tanks, clearomizers, etc..

When I was smoking I was buying 3-4 cartons a month, it was horrible. Now I'm happily vaping :)

If you need to have an analog or a few while your getting started then you should do so. This is not a race - you will get to where you want to be but for some it takes a little more time than others. Your initial goal should be to have as few analogs as possible in the beginning until you reach the point where you can get along fine without them. Some make the transition instantly and some need a little more time to completely make the transition. Go at your own pace - you will find a way reach your goal and vaping will be paramount in assisting you to achieve that.

Once you settle on a good juice and setup that does the trick you'll be home free...

You can do it!! I tried every way out there to quit smoking and always failed, quickly and miserably. I am happy to say that I am now on my third week smoke free. I have taken up vaping as my new hobby and its still cheaper than smoking even with all the stuff I'm buying. You have found a great community here for both stop smoking support and vaping knowledge.

Good luck!

I think an important thing to remember is that vaping is not exactly like smoking,,,,,the "puff" is longer and slower,,,,,

and the taste is different,,,,,,I won't even LOOK at tobacco juices anymore, because I really prefer the flavors more than I ever enjoyed smoking,,,,,

so don't expect it to be exactly like smoking,,,,,,,because it won't be,,,,,,,it may be better, though :)

welcome & congrats..! i am happily 100% analog free after about a month now.. the month before that i still had a cig in the morning when i woke up, one after lunch (at work, hard to break the ritual of going out for the after lunch smoke/break from my coworkers!) and the one after dinner.. but after that month and realizing how much more i enjoyed my vape (midnight apple juice on eGo with a Stardust,) i realized i didn't even like smoking anymore...!
now i can't stand it and even make my bf go away from me to smoke.
if it takes a day, a month, or even years - don't worry if you haven't quit the cigs yet .... just count up all the smokes you WOULD have had if you hadn't started vaping.
all about the little victories. :)

Congratulations and welcome to ECF! You will find yourself checking in the forum for answers to your questions and they're here somewhere. I've been cigarette free now for 8 months after 1 1/2 weeks vaping. That last cigarette tasted so nasty I gagged and threw away the 1/2 pack I had left. Haven't touched one since then, and don't see myself smoking again. It's been quite a journey of personal satisfaction.

May I just say that when I started with ecigs I was very nervous about the first cig of the day. The very first thing I used to think of in the morning was having a cig. NOTHING else mattered, it was the thought of my early morning cig. It was like an obsession, the cig was controlling my life. If I went out I would plan my day around cig breaks, I would make excuses just to have a cig. TERRIBLE eh!

5 weeks on and the morning cig has gone, my thoughts now are my kids, wife and vaper(in that order). The novelty has now gone and now it is a hobby. I read, watch videos and talk about vaping to all my friends. It is a life changer.

Ecigs have come along way over the last couple of years and the improvements just reinforce the commitment and pleasure this hobby has.Good luck
