Yes I am liking the idea of the portability because I do drive allot for work and i am thinking this would be a grate way to go. I like the bottom feeders also but i am always changing my carto for different mood's for flavors and this is also convenient. Been using the vortex's carto's and its like a bottom feeder just smaller amounts IMO
I've had a Darwin for about a week now. It's my first mod and I'm really enjoying it. At first I was skeptical about getting this because it didn't look very ergonomic but boy was I wrong. I find it just as comfortable if not more so than my little eGo batteries to use.
Fits my hand good, and I love the swinging arm which gives it gooseneck like flexability in terms of how you choose to hold and operate the Darwin. You'll never have to do a balancing act again to set your PV down. Fold the arm to 90 degrees and lay it flat. Pick it up and use it easily with either hand...adjust the wattage on the fly...even while vaping if you like. It's easy to choose between thumb, index finger, or middle finger button pushing.
As a first mod, I also love that I don't really have to pay attention to the math involved in setting voltages to go with cartos. If I forgot to lable my stash of atties, it doesn't matter...and I don't have to test them first to figure out what's going on.
I just screw on a carto or Atty...set the power I want and it's pretty close to the same no matter what carto/atty I'm using. To be safe, if it's an atty/carto I'm not sure about, I'll start at a low setting and gradually dial it up till I hit the sweet spot.
I can see the voltage, amps, and resistance all at the same time, as well as the battery state. Darwin is always monitoring these and auto-adjusting them to keep the atty at a constant and steady wattage/power/heat.
Warranty is great on this, and is included in the price. I don't have to mess with extra batteries and chargers, as it has them built in...light and long lasting 3 year type batteries like in cell-phones and laptops. I'm around a power source most of the time so this is the perfect mod for my lifestyle.
Only thing I can think to warn about this mod....
Get some extension pieces for the swing arm. To me it's nice to have a 510 to 510 extender or two...it gives me a little extra room to attach/remove stuff and also serves as a catch for over-dripping.
I've enjoyed the Vortex on Darwin as well...
I ran a Vortex for over 30 refills before I finally popped it after vaping for an hour at 6v. I just wanted to see how much it could take LOL.
