Just started vaping a couple of weeks ago. After trying some disposables, I bought a kit Ego-T upgrade batteries with Stardust clearomizers. I thought the Stardusts would last me a few months, but after only two weeks of light vaping, the coils seem to have burnt out on the Stardusts. I'd rather not buy the Stardusts again. Any recommendations on tanks, cartomizers, etc. for a newbie like myself (something that lasts me a few months worry free)?

You could try the vv nova, or if you want to rebuild, Vaping zone has the VZ rebuildable. I didn't have much luck with the nova because I vape VG juice and I had wicking problems. I still use the VZ RBA. It's a bottom coil, I have no wicking issues and is easy to rebuild. You can pick both of these tanks up for around $15 each.

I second the Kanger T3 recommendation. I'm making the same transition. I've got a couple of stardust clearomizers that are still working well, but one cracked after two weeks of an 80/20 coffee flavor.

I just got a couple of T3's and they're working great so far: less leaking and gurgling, no dry hits, more vapor, and more time between refills. They change the center of gravity but connect well with the Ego-T+ battery. I don't know about long term reliability, but changing out the bottom coils seems pretty easy.

I have recently started using bottom coil CE3s (aka "Phoenix Bottom Coil Cartomizer") I don't know why it's called a carto, since it's more like a clearo hybrid. I wish I had learned about they before. I have about 15 Stardust/CE4/Clones that I'm tired of babying. I have 2 vivi mini novas as well, but for me, flavors taste muted in them.

OK, my shopping list is expanded to include Kangers and Vivinovas. Anything else? I thought this hobby was supposed to save me money as compared to smoking analogs :(

Unless you love buying new toys (like meeee), things will settle down once you find a system that works for you. I use carto tanks about 90% of the time, and have only bought the CE3s because I wanted something smaller.

ETA: Now juice on the other hand....

Keep in mind, the Vivi Nova is truly just a mega capacity Clearomizer, and not too much different than a Stardust in function.

They work a LITTLE bit better, but it's not a big enough difference for me.

If you're looking for something completely different, I would suggest trying out a cartomizer / tank set up. They're a bit more troublesome to set up, but offer a more consistent vape experience. Just my opinion of course.

The Kanger T3 is also a good suggestion. I really like bottom coil designs, but they are a bit more prone to develop leaking issues. Lots of resources available to fix those problems when they come up though.
