I use the ibtanked 19mm XL with SS caps. With either Ikenvape 501 Mega Fusion cartos if available, or Boge XL prepunched cartos otherwise. No adaptor is required as the threads from the carto fit into the Vamo connector with a little space to the tank. Very happy with that setup myself. The included Thingy is awesome for priming the carto with next to no effort.

I have also used the F16 tank as a cheap starter and backup. Works fine, though the caps are starting to flake off!

As I suggested to someone else, go with the XTAR WP2 II Multi-charger as a minimum... about $20. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the cheap Trustfires from the get-go. I know some people who have had good luck with the Trustfires, but personally, and as experienced by two of my friends, the Trustfires suck!

The tanks from Ibtanked are great. Easy to clean, tight fit so the carto won't slide around like with other tanks, and pretty durable. I've had mine roll off a desk without cracking. If you buy the full kit from them, they include a tank refilling tool that makes it so much easier to fill your tank and the 'Thingy' they also give makes priming your cartos easier as well

If the vendor you're ordering your Vamo from doesn't sell the XTAR charger, here are several places that do...

Volcano ecigs ($19.99)
RTD Vapor ($19.95) (these guys also sell Genuine AW IMR batteries)
House of Vapor ($24.99)

If you do a Google search I'm sure you can find more vendors, however, I've personally dealt with these vendors for one thing or another and have had no problems with them. I bought my XTAR from Volcano ecigs.

The tanks from IBTanked come in Standard (35mm Height) and XL (45mm Height), in both 19mm and 25mm diameters. They are top notch at a very good price and I think you can buy one complete kit and one replacement tube for the other size and be able to switch between Standard and XL Cartos. The only thing is I hear the end caps are pretty damn snug, can be a pain to swap things around often.

You can use any carto you want. Some people like Boge, some people like Smok. Some like flanged, some don't. You can get them prepunched or can punch your own. You can get dual or single coil, you can get any ohmage you want as a Vamo will fire the 1.5s and the 3.0s just as well.

The Vamo is 22mm Diameter. IBTanked is going to have 22mm Diameter tanks in mid to late April. Personally I'm waiting for a flush match.

Edit: Forgot to mention battery info lol.

I really like my Nitecore i2 charger, can put the batteries on overnight and it safely stops charging when they're full.

The Panasonic Hybrid 18650s Unprotected (2250mAh) are great batteries, I have 4 of them. They have a grey label and usually run $8-$10ish

If you want to run shorty mode (Single 18350) AW IMR 700mAh are perfect as Panasonic has yet to make a hybrid in this size. I've heard good things about eFest IMR 18350 800mAh and have a few coming to try out.

All of these batteries and the charger are available at www.gotvapes.com and if you create an account and sign up for a newsletter they take 5% off every purchase.

RTD is also a reputable supplier as mentioned above, as is DiscountVapers.

Truthfully, I'm sort of new with all this too. It's recommended that IMR "unprotected" batteries are used in the Vamo, but I've heard that THIS specific Panasonic Hybrid IMR "protected" battery can also be used in the Vamo. I would have to search for the thread that said this to make sure, so don't go by my word until clarified. Is this the same battery you were thinking of?

By the way, I just noticed you're also from Orange County, Ca! I'm from La Palma... whereabouts are you from?

Dual coil literally has two coils firing in parallel and has lower ohmage (1.5 typically) They have a love-hate following. Some people love em, some hate em. I think they eat batteries too fast without the performance gain they claim, but that's just my opinion. I think the duals have a slightly warmer vape but since I'm usually on menthol I don't really notice.

A single coil low resist 2 ohm is what I usually run with, either standard or XL, whatever's available and cheap, and I personally prefer Boge Stainless and punch them myself.

If you do punch your own, start with one hole and if it seems dry add a second. It all depends on how thick your juice is and how you vape. If you're like me and chain vape and get that sucker warm, the juice gets thin and can flood on two holes. You just have to go slow and warm it up a bit with 1 hole.

I'm only 22 but I've been chain smoking Marlboro red 100s since I was fourteen.so glad I'm off cigs.thanks for ur support. so is punching my own cartos tricky.? does it save money? and why punch them?

Protected battery has a cutoff for a certain amperage, kind of like a circuit breaker in your house. Turn too much stuff on in the kitchen and boom, it all goes dark. Protected batteries also have a higher capacity typically.

Unprotected lack that circuitry and typically have lower capacity due to being able to drain more rapidly.

The Vamo has its own protection circuitry and needs to draw more amperage for variable voltage/wattage than a protected battery can handle. I believe it limits itself to a 5amp draw on the batteries, and the Panasonics are limited to 10amps. They have a bit more capacity than the AW IMR batteries and can still push enough power to the Vamo.

Edit: As far as punching carts goes, it's not that hard no. The easiest method is to poke it into the tank until the threads are showing inside the glass and the bottom of the cart is flush with the inside of the top cap. Toss the puncher on and crank it down til it stops. When you push the cart the rest of the way through where it'll screw into your 510 connection the holes will be just near the inside edge of the bottom cap.

Why punch? Because I can never find the carts I like at the price I'm willing to pay unless I do it myself ;) Its all about the $$
