Thanks Hans, i'm guessing you mean $40 (approx £28) for the tank itself and not with the RX200?!?! o_O
The RX200 is $40-50 and the Crown is $30-ish.

I have two of each and use the RX200 and Crown together all the time. Great combo.

Be aware that the Crown tanks are known for leaking. At least the earlier ones. Both of mine bought in December leak like crazy.

I'm considering what to get for my first step up to sub ohming and was shown an Reuleaux RX200 with a Uwell Crown Sun Tank today. Does that sound like a decent combo?

Depending on what you use now; it may be as simple as buying a new coil for whatever topper you use. It cold also mean a complete re-fit.

ahhh good point. I have Eleaf iStick 30w with an Aspire Nautilus on the top. In theory i could put a sub ohm tank on it and whack up the voltage?

Sorry yes, i did mean wattage.

The Melo tank looks to be a good choice considering it's designed for the iStick 30

No need to apologize. Whatever works for you man. I hear good things about all kinds of tanks but, like I said on your "long flight" post, I use sub-tanks and recommend them when asked. When they no longer work for me I'll probably move on to the newest/greatest. ...provided they are rebuildable.

Whoever tells you to "sub ohm" and then recommends doing so on a regulated mod, has no idea what they are talking about. It's just bro-talk. Words that may sound cool but makes no sense or has any foundation in reality.

The coil's resistance determines the power output from a mechanical mod. In a regulated mod, electronics determines power output. As such, whether you "sub ohm" or not - with a regulated mod - makes no difference. In terms of end result, 100 watt from a mechanical mod - with a sub ohm coil - is the exact same as 100 watt from a regulated mod; with or without a sub ohm coil.

I am not saying "get a mechanical mod if you want to go "sub ohm". I am saying you can get the exact same results with a regulated mod - with or without going "sub ohm". Regulated mods don't care about the coil's resistance as long as it's within the operational envelope. E.g. some mods may require you to go below a certain resistance to get to the max power output. Other than that, the resistance of the coil has no - none whatsoever - impact on the end result.

what to get for my first step up to sub ohming
It's not really a step up, it's a step across. Sub-ohm really is only a difference in resistance which usually leads to more vapor production, I'm assuming you want more vapor production, my question is how far do you want to go? Big Clouds, Medium Clouds, Slighly more than what you are currently producing?

Ok the reason I want to try sub ohm is I can vape high percentage VG juice or even max VG to see if it's easier on my mouth than PG based juice.

I'm not fussed about making huge plumes of vapor. This will be a general all purpose every day vaping device.

My little rant may have come off more assaulting/offensive than intended. If so - sorry about that! :toast:

Lots of ECF members has lots of experience with high-VG liquids. Me not being one of them. I'm sure Someone™ will get you sorted.
