Hey everyone, hope your week is off to a great start.

I'm hoping the awesome community here could help me by sharing your personal experiences and opinions with regard to purchasing my first mod.

I've gradually been upgrading from V2 808D batteries, to the EGO T, C, and Twist. I really love the EGO batteries, but I know eventually they're gonna die on me, so I'm now looking for a mod setup to buy.

My criteria are:

1. I can carry it around to bars, restaurants, etc
2. Variable Voltage
3. 510 threadding
4. Good build quality.

Any advice?

As I'm sure you know the provari is considered to be the best mod on the market. It does give you the most amount of options and features and is probably the most durable, however it does carry $160 price tag. When you add in the battery and charger you're looking at about $180.

IMHO the next best choice would be the vtube (lavatube) from Apollo ecigs. They have a 30% off coupon and it would bring the price to about $55 including a case, battery and charger. At one third the price tag of the provari, is a very good device. It also comes with a one-year warranty and 30 day refund policy

mylesguess,

Hi, I am a new vaper too, also using v2cigs. I recently bought an Apollo Vtube, which came with an atomizer which I learned to de-bridge from watching YouTube videos. If you will want to drip, you can also get atomizers that are already de-bridged. I got my Vtube for 30% off and you can too. You can use the code vtube30.

I'm enjoying my Vtube very much, it's not too honking big, and it's easy to use, too!:)

If you really want to step UP, then I would look at these options as they are considered top of the line by many:

1. Power regulated, variable wattage Darwin.
2. Provari
3. Opus
4. Silver Bullite with a Kick (made by Evolve who makes the Darwin)

I would say to really step up, you want a VV or VW model that is power regulated to avoid battery drain inconsistency and one that has at least a 3.0 - 4.0 amp limit. Most lavatubes only have a 2.5 amp limit which means you can only use certain cartos/attys on it. Supposidly they are coming out with one that has a 4.0 amp limit.
