Ah ha! Knew it would be a clone of something! Hadn't seen the Taifun before. Very interesting. I was thinking this clone would be a good candidate for converting to a spheroid type set-up.

It looks like Taifun styled with Fogatti influence.

The picture with the packaging cracks me up. A knockoff Taifun, with Fogatti styling, sold in knockoff Zen packaging, with kanger's "pro tank" labeled on the tube. How hilarious!

50ish bucks. They are available in Europe for 39 euros. Vaportek is doing a preorder tomorrow. It does appear to have a much cheaper build than the taifun gt. The chamber walls don't collapse into the deck for ease of rebuilding. It also appears to have Delrin o rings that pop in over the wicks. I'm guessing this acts as a gasket to prevent juice leaking through sub par chimney-to-deck threading. I'll be surprised if this isn't as disappointing as tobeco's oddy.

im (hoplessly?) hoping that at least some chinese factories use lead-free brass. im not sure how much of a stretch that is. doesnt seem too far fetched. of course we are still talkng about the same country that put drugs in childrens candy. i remember the news story about some type of drug that made its way into those colored candy dots that come stuck to a receipt-like piece of paper.

Now at vaportech for 35. Looking forward to reviews. I presume the build will be a pita but for the price, it could be an acceptable hurdle to jump if the vape quality is anywhere close to the original device.
