The standard was sold out in a day, but I don't know what quantities they had of each.

I thought the gold ones were a bit too flashy. Too ghetto fab.... Too expensive (over $60.00 more than the standard satin silver finish)
That was the reason for my smarmy...."When you absolutely positively need to look like the d-bag everyone thinks you are for owning a ProVari" line.
I've seen some other photos and mixed with a polished kayfun, they do look quite sharp. And as I have learned the hard way (still picking the feathers from my teeth) you can't rely soley on pictures when it comes to the ProVari.

When in doubt, just look for Preloader's gold pictures. That guy has gold plated rings, bases, tanks, ProVari's, and drip tips.
