There is a guy from my work who vapes a cigalike. He has been using it for at least a year now and is probably the only person I know still vaping such thing. I don't usually talk to him, but his reactions to my conversations with other vapers lead me to believe that he thinks any flavor that doesn't try to imitate the taste of tobacco is silly and any device that puts out more vapor than a cigarette would put out smoke is beyond silly. I think he prefers something that looks like a cigarette. I don't think he is quitting though, he obviously enjoys vaping as he has been doing it for a long time.

So, there are people like this. If it appeases some people and BT makes cigalikes that are just like smoking, some people will be attracted.

But most vapers that have been doing this awhile have moved away from cigarette-like things.

I started with an eGo starter kit, after seeing a co-worker with a HUGE tube style mech-mod. My first upgrade was to an Itazte vv 3.0, with a PT2. My daily vape is an Aspire Nautilus on an MVP20W.
I was forced to try Vuse cigalikes a while back (ran out of juice and money at the same time) and I have to say that if cigalikes had been my first experience with vaping, I'd still be smoking analogs.
They're TERRIBLE! Nasty flavor, nearly no vapor production, lousy battery life...
I hate to sound cynical, but (when it comes to ecigs) do you think that BT would deliberately make an inferior product, in order to sabotage the market, and keep people from making the switch?

Companies don't spend $millions on products they don't think will make money for them. I don't know what sales numbers and profits for Vuse are, but I imagine they are quite profitable. I like them, but prefer NJOY kings and even the new BLU plus tanks...

I would not have converted to vaping if all that was available to me was box mods and big baton like batteries with cloud blowing devices on top.

Interesting. I can't see BT throwing in the towel as far as vaping is concerned. I think it's to risky at this point in time. I think they need to keep their foot in the door so to speak, so they can move freely in any direction whenever they need to. If they're really doing as you say it'll be interesting to watch what their strategy will be in the future.

Well they succeeded in Arkansas. Tobacco stores have the license to sell vaping stuff and others have to get one. They cut down on the internet competition for vaping stuff. I am not certain but expect that the tobacco owned vaping companies already had licenses to sell to their outlets in Arkansas as well since they already shipped them tobacco products.
I figure this to be their main tack they take to ensure their profits in both vaping and tobacco products continue.
They have money and we have the best government that money can buy. All parties included.

You can Blame those figures on lack of knowledge of the Vaping environment. While most smokers will try a cig-a-like to see it it will help in quitting, most that do quickly move on to better devices.....Not carried in Retail stores.
Their report ignores B&M sales and expansion in general. It ignores online e-cig related sales.
This like Government planning is poorly researched miss-information giving only a small portion of the story.

The younger, never smokers are now going straight to cloud makers. It is the in thing I guess.
