Yes, I bought it on eBay. That being said, it's got nice weight and good vent holes. The problem is that the battery is loose inside it in a way that the battery doesn't make connection at the ends. I have opened the screws at each end as far as they will go without falling out of their threads, and still not making connection. In the base, I also stretched the spring out a bit and still no connection that is reliable. Tried it with my Aspire nautilus atomizer, and did get some hit but it was "iffy".

AND the rice pin falls out every time I remove the base.

So, a question: SHOULD the battery be connected at both ends all the time, or SHOULD it only connect at the upper end when I press the bottom to vape? In other words, should there normally be a bit of space at top of the battery such that the bottom/spring pushes the battery up to the connection at time of use?

Once you get the length problem resolved here is how I use my nemmys.
Remove the top cap. Loosen the center pin some. Screw your atty on.
Snug up the center pin against the atty 510 pin.
insert battery with positive end towards atty.
replace topcap. if it won't go down all the way unscrew switch some.
After topcap on then screw in switch until just snug. do not over tighten.

Periodically check you post in in your switch for tightness. If the post falls out it can/will cause continuous firing and a possible venting /boom situation.

All right. I played a bit with the different parts of the tube, and managed to determine which pieces would allow for the battery to come closest to both the top (510) end and the bottom (switch) end. I did have to extend the screw at both ends somewhat in order to get contact at both ends of the battery, but both screws are still firmly seated, not wobbly. Have not tried vaping with it yet. Does there need to be a little bit of space left so that the battery is not *always* resting firmly against both ends -- I would think that there needs to be a little bit of space because the push-button end should cause the switch there to press against the negative end of the battery to cause the positive end of the battery to make contact with the 510 end, right? If I tighten one or the other of the screws back down a little, that would create a little bit of space....

Yep the part that raises up when you press the button. When the switch is not pressed that MUST be below the level of the insulating ring around it.

Well, it's *slightly* below the level of the insulating ring. If I tighten the pin/screw, the insulating ring and the brass threading below it also move downwards and the level of the pin to the level of the insulating ring remains the same.

Omit the kick ring when using an 18650 battery.

I've got the 2 sections of the rear left in Izan's post (Thanks, Izan), plus the section with the 510 -- that section has a narrow press-on ring that seems to be a beauty ring with 2 vent holes (no threading on this beauty ring thing). And the bottom base with the switch and spring. If I put the battery in right now, everything fits nicely and there is no battery rattle, but in order to get rid of the battery rattle I have to have the pin at the top (510 end) and the pin at the bottom (switch/base) both opened up a little bit. Neither is screwed down tight. If I screw either or both down tight, I get battery rattle.

I found this information about using a Nemesis clone mech mod, and it says this:

Adjustable Firing Bottom - Bottom Contact connects with the battery inside of the Nemesis, screw in to adjust for the battery size. It’ll also double as the On/Off switch.
Bottom Rocking Ring - To lock the Nemesis Mechanical Mod, screw the locking ring in a clockwise motion.
Nemesis Body and Extension Tubes - The Nemesis MOD comes with four battery tubes fully connected to each other when the package is opened. The main tube contains the Nemesis laser etch. They allow this device the ability to use one of three batteries: an 18350/18500/18650
Top cap - Adjust the top contact pin for the atomizer

So this sounds like the pins at each end CAN be adjusted for battery size. If that is correct, is it an unusual feature not normally found in mech mods?

You just screw the entire switch in farther to adjust for battery rattle.
Have you identified the little short ring in the left front of the pic?

No, unless it's the "beauty ring" that I mentioned. The only short ring that came with the mod is this "beauty ring" that just slides on over the top of the 510 unit. That 510 unit has an O-ring set in under the very top of it, and this "beauty ring" covers that. No threads in this "beauty ring", so it can't be used anywhere else on the mod.

I did not think mine has the little ring either could not see the seam but looked down inside the ends and on end of a tube was different. took the shorty ring out and all was fine. Had the same issue as you till I figured it out.

aHA! I looked more closely and by golly you are right, there WAS another little ring there! Seams were very hard to see on the rainbow color. So I took it off, tightened up the pins at both ends as far as they would go, loosened the top pin a little bit to allow the atty to screw down into the 510, put it all back together and voila! It vapes nicely! Thank you SO much, Robert, for all the time, patience and help you have given me today to figure this out ... not to mention how much help this will be toward a better understanding of other mech mods I will buy.

I'm now a very happy camper with a darn pretty (and working) new mech mod!!

Glad I could help.
Keep an eye on that switch post and make sure it does not come loose.

Hard to beat the Nemesis as a mech.

I do need to get used to pushing the button at the bottom for my vape on this type of mod. Guess the third finger of my right hand will be getting stronger from the resistance exercise.

You can get magnets to convert it from springs to 2 opposing ring magnets.
Much smoother.
FT has a 10 pack of the magnets for under $3.
Or I think Vaping Walrus has them as well and some other places.

I usually use the side of my pinkie finger about the knuckle area.

My pinky on that hand has a little bit of nerve damage, not enough to notice unless I'm trying to press that bottom button. Magnets are a good idea, I'll probably get some and give it a shot.
