I am making a Cinnamon Toast Crunch recipe below. It taste great for the first 4 to 5 days and then the flavor seems to diminish. Should I add more flavoring, any suggestions? I am thinking of going to 10% on the Cinnamon Danish Swirl.

8% Cinnamon Danish Swirl Cap
1% Hazelnut fa
4% Malted Milk tfa
2% sweetener
Nic 6MG and 80VG/30PG

First step I'd usually do is to check if I'm having olfactory fatigue. If not then try it on a dual coil setup to determine it's single coil viability with possibly increasing 50%. However if you're already on dual coil then there isn't much other than clapton to savage the current juice.

From my experience with cds, it's a pretty light flavor after steeping together with malted milk. Your sweetener might have a part to play in toning down the flavors.

Alternatively maybe increase pg a little to help flavorings bind better and faster.

Good luck!

Do any of your other recipes include malted milk?
If that malted milk flavor is made with ethyl maltol (used for cotton candy flavor)
you may have found the culprit. (well..)

Try replacing your malted milk flavor with FA sweetened condensed milk
or a cream, the hazelnut flavor will supply the malty taste
if you increase it a bit to 2 or 3%..maybe 4

You shouldn't be losing any cinnamon as it's persistent
but ethyl maltol is known to mute other flavors

yeah EM is crazy sweet.. I tend to use no more than 0.7% in any recipe, never used malted milk though.

Thanks for the advice HazyShades. I will try a test batch this weekend with replacing the malted milk with a cream and up the hazelnut to 3 or 4%. Hoping to find the solution, this is my favorite recipe. well, for the first 5 days anyway. I will report back.

I've used EM in a orange creamsicle recipe at 1% with success. Taste more like a Orange Tic Tac.
If you add 2% sucralose and 2% vanillin or 5% vanilla ice cream
you'll have a tasty treat much like an Orange Julius

@CharTech, I came back to this thread 'cause after thinking about your OP
it occurred to me that you might be putting that juice in plastic bottles.

I hope that isn't the case but if so it would explain the problem
and it isn't the EM. Cinnamon doesn't like plastic
so after your juice sits there a few days it picks up the plastic flavor
which kills the flavor you had at first.

Hazy

Thanks Hazy.. I will have to try your suggestions on the orange creamsicle recipe.

I make my small test batches in a 3ML plastic bottle and when I am happy with the results I make my main batch in a 30ML glass bottle. I did notice more of a muted flavor in my test batches after the 4 to 5 day and less so in my main batch in the glass bottle. I will make this next test batch with replacing the MM with cream and upping the hazelnut in a glass bottle. Thanks again hazy!

Cinnamon Danish swirl loses its edge as it ages I have never found a way to stop this from happening. The cinnamon starts off crisp and upfront and then fades into the bakery flavor over time. The same thing happens with commercial juices. GCD from Nicoticket is a perfect example. This is one I simply mix up and vape fresh. Or punch up the cinnamon a little with FA cinnamon Ceylon when I want to vape some that has already aged.

You can buy 15ml and 30ml, ETC in clear or amber, dropper or plain cap
on Ebay cheap.

Stop using sweeteners, if you need sweet add vanilla / custard / cupcake and try a recipe with 70 % vg, upping the individual flavor % doesn't make it last long, some flavors start to fade after only one week, some don't

I mainly use marshmallow for my sweetener. Going to play around with these suggestions with a few test batches and see if I can make progress in retaining the flavor.

I was going for Mod Fuel Thorad and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch recipe is close to it. The Thorad flavor doesn't fade with steeping so I hope I can find a way to retain the flavor in mine as well. If not I'll just have to take your small batch suggestion.

Hazy, looks like your suggestions may have worked. At least it has with my first small batch test. I replaced the malted milk with sweet cream and upped the hazel nut and let it steep for a week. Going to make a 10ML batch today and see how it goes.

In my experience if you vape a specific flavored juice for awhile it always seems to fade after a few days lol .

Thats why so many switch back and forth to many different tanks with different flavorings even on a daily basis .
I hear you. My all day vape is Deadly Sin by Goodlife Vapor. I have been vaping it for almost a year now and from time to time the flavor is non-existent due to over vaping. Unfortunately with my Cinnamon Toast Crunch recipe that's not the case it just loses its flavor after 4 to 5 days. Hate it because I love it. Don't think I could take it as an all day vape but love to drip it in the evenings.
