I lost the little plastic cap that goes over the button on my Screwdriver MKII that keeps it the button from being pushed in my pocket. Does anyone have the same problem or any suggestions what I can use as a replacement for the safety cap?
You could always check radioshack, they have a lot of stuff that works well with PV's. If not radioshack, just purchase a new switch replacement set from whichever supplier you got it from, you'll need to replace the switch at some point anyway and it's a good thing to have handy cause when the switch goes, your whole unit is unusable. And I'm pretty sure the switch replacement set comes with a new button cap, should at least...
Should perhaps, but does not. The replacement Neck Lanyard DOES, however. The description (on TW) doesn't mention the safety cap specifically ... but, it is clearly included in the photo. It's cheaper than the switch too.
Side note, be careful when cleaning your device. I lost the switch's spring in my first couple days. Had to buy a replacement switch just to get the spring. At least I got a spare switch too.
Sorry I didn't see your post sooner, Hoodwinkmark, but I posted about my easily obtained and incredibly cheap button cap (complete with a picture) in another thread back in April. You can find them right in your neigborhood grocery store! Here's the post:
and if ya don`t like butter, try the salad spritzers...i like the black rassberry one, and the cap fits the mk1 SD also...do put hot paper clip holes in cap for keeping it close...
