On the front of the outer sleeve there is a photo of the device in the center, the Lost Vape logo at the top left and the kit name at the bottom. On the back you can see; the packing list, warnings, authenticity code and a barcode with the color of this sample shown on it. On the remaining sides of the package there are; the wording "The Modern Demarcation" and some main features in the form of icons.

► Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Kit; First Impressions:
The Centaurus M100 has a classic and simple design, but the thing that immediately catches the eye is that the usual 3 adjustment buttons are not present, but instead there is an adjustable knob or "potentiometer" with a triple integrated key lock function, LED notifications and power adjustment. Switching the Mod on and off is instead done via a quick sliding button underneath the display. For me it is always a great satisfaction to receive a Mod from the "Centaurus" line for my tests because I have always believed that Lost Vape is one of the most prestigious brands in the entire Chinese Vaping industry, in fact this manufacturer has always used for its premium production of DNA chipsets, and for some years it has developed simplified electronics called "Quest" to offer the same devices at a lower price. In the image below you can see the Centaurus M100 kit from this test which is equipped with Centaurus Sub Coo Tank. Lost Vape kindly sent me two beautiful colors of this kit one is called "Midnight Blue" and the other "Knight Black".

The two side panels of the M100 (as we will see later) can be removed by inserting a fingernail into the appropriate recesses found on the bottom of the Mod.
The steel plate with 510 connection is slightly raised to avoid scratches when you turn the atomizers on it, also the plate is screwed onto the top of the mod in a central position, the pin is gold plated and is spring loaded. Centaurus M100 can accommodate tanks up to 26mm without protrusions.

The two removable panels of M100 Mod are identical to each other, both show the large circular Centaurus logo in the center which is white, what changes between these two panels are the identifying writings; on one side read "Centaurus" and on the other read "Lost vape". The rectangular form factor of M100 is rounded on the sides and has well-radius and rather soft curves, the feeling in the hand is comfortable. The structure of the Mod seems really strong thanks to the use of zinc alloy for the frame, while to keep the weight of this kit Lost Vape has used aluminum for the removable panels.

The two removable aluminum panels of the M100 Mod contain two powerful magnets inside, both panels fit perfectly into the mod without strange movements or abnormal noises during use. The slot for the 18650 cell is made of fireproof material and contains clear indications on the direction of insertion of the cell, to help the user insert the 18650 battery the upper contact is spring loaded, furthermore the extraction of the 18650 cell is facilitated by the presence of a "Lost Vape" designer strap. Lost Vape announces that a wide range of colored panels will soon be available to customize your Centaurus M100.

M100 Mod, as shown in the image below, is rather narrow and easy to hold, this is due to the use of an 18650 cell instead of a more voluminous 21700 cell.

► Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Kit; Display:
On the front of the M100 we find a bright display that shows all the useful information such as; battery level, selected power, coil resistance, puff counter, duration of the last puff. The updated Quest chipset of M100 Mod allows you to switch from the classic power mode (Blue background) to the one called "DIY RDA" with Red background. Updates will certainly be released, perhaps to integrate the smart function into the classic dispensing mode.

The power adjustment of M100 starts from 5 up to 100W and is carried out with 2 different incremental steps, as follows:
• From 0 to 39W The increase is 1W for each click
• From 40 to 98W The increase is 2W for each click

► Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Kit; Slide On/Off:
Above the USB-C charging port there is a sliding On/Off button, I always thought that this type of button was not necessary and I continued to prefer the old locking system, however I had to change my mind, in fact using the M200 Mods and M100 by Lost Vape I've really gotten used to this convenience and I've found that I really like being able to turn off the Mod by simply moving the slider to the left and then turning the Mod back on super quickly by moving the slider to the right.

► Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Kit; Jog Dial 3 in 1:
At the top above the display there is the power button, it is a well-made intelligent interface called "Jog Dial 3 in 1". The button is made up of a knurled ring on the outside, the ring rotates 360° and the potentiometer function allows you to increase the power by rotating the button clockwise, or decrease the power by rotating the button anti-clockwise. The other options of the "Jog Dial 3 in 1" system include vaping by pressing the button and monitoring the cell charge level through the 5 different colors that the LED surrounding the power button can take on.

The LED in the "Jog Dial 3 in 1" system assumes five different colors during vaping and charging based on the current charge level of the cell:
• Charge level 0-20%: The LED is Red
• Charge level 20-40%: The LED is White
• Charge level 40-60%: The LED is Blue
• Charge level 60-80%: The LED is Green
• Charge level 80-100%: The LED is Purple

► Lost Vape Centaurus Sub Coo Tank:
The Centaurus Sub Coo tank has a standard capacity of 4ml which can be increased to 5ml thanks to the oversized glass in the package, the easy filling system with a quarter turn does not pose problems for inexperienced users, the Top Cap closure is effective and involuntary opening is averted thanks to a strong opposition force to the rotation. The bottom airflow adjustment is precise and well braked. There are two opposing slots well sized for RDL-DL vaping, the rotating ring is equipped with limit stops corresponding to the maximum opening and maximum closing of the two slots which regulate the air flow. The Sub Coo tank can be completely dismantled for cleaning, it is of simple but robust construction, the joints are precise.

Centaurus Sub Coo Tank is compatible with UB Max Coil platform.

► Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Kit; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
The Lost Vape Centaurus Sub-Ohm Tank is designed for a satisfying vaping experience, easy to use for all users. The Tank features a knurled Top-Cap design for a better grip, a quick quarter turn reveals the large fill ports and its adjustable AFC is perfect for deep RDL/DL aspirations thanks also to the powerful and durable UB Max Coils.

• UB Max X2 Coil 0.2Ω (60-80W):
The coil, as expected, has the same good performance as the previous Lost Vape UB series of similar power, with completely open air-flow and with a set power of 60W, the body of the vapor is notable, the puff is soft and silent, it is possible to reach 80W (maximum limit of the coil) without any signs of failure.

• UB Max X3 Coil 0.3Ω (40-60W):
This Coil has perfect parameters to be used on a single 18650 Mod like M100, guarantees high performance and acceptable battery energy consumption. The top performance is reached at 50W with the AFC fully open, however I usually use this coil at 40W with the AFC open at 50%. With this setting I found the best compromise between performance and cell life. Heating is rapid and the cotton absorbs the liquid well immediately and without strange flavors.

The Centaurus M100 Mod is powered by a single 18650 external battery, the 100W max declared are probably optimistic, however in the recommended power range with an 18650 cell and with the two UB coils supplied the power supplied seems in line with what is expected It can wait. Type-C charging is well assisted by the LED which intervenes precisely to offer you a long-lasting vaping experience. Personally, I always recharge the external cells with a separate charger so as not to unnecessarily strain the Mod. The QUEST 2.0 chipset is designed to work perfectly in combination with the 3 in 1 rotary control, with the slide activation/deactivation button and also with the indicator Battery LED. The 0.96'' TFT screen displays comprehensive vaping information and is well colored and bright. This vape kit is clearly designed with the user in mind. Its interface is simple and easy to navigate, ideal for both beginners and experienced vapers. The simplicity of operation does not compromise performance. The panels are solid and precise, their light aluminum structure helps to keep the weight of the Mod light.
