the mini is superb. i am darn sure it is real abalone in fact. only can do this at chinese prices. however i think my board is broken darnit. first bad one. otherwise this thing looks like a $500 mod that then sells for ten grand on ebay. i found no cosmetic issues whatsoever. other than the natural variations in abalone. size of hana but looks much nicer. this is real good.

Why do you think there's a problem with the board?

it died. now i am guessing it thought the ni200 was kanthal. reading .45. i put it on another mod and it reads .10 as it should. perhaps the fuse blew i have no idea. is there any way i can try to fix it without taking it apart? i will try to get them to exchange it. they are all about final sales. even say it every time. receipt says 30 days exchange on manufacturer defects. so if i cannot revive it i will point that out to them. other than that is there a way to send it to efusion if i have to?

If it's a board problem, you may have better luck talking to Evolv - they appear to have good customer service and support for the board itself. I have no personal experience of this, just what I have heard from others.

evolv most certainly did take care of it! their cs is above and beyond. it is amazing they repair for free yet a device made by a third party. regardless of if it carries a component of theirs. that is akin to a capacitor manufacturer repairing a sony blu ray player for you. simply amazing. i am truly humbled.

i was thinking for a month how i could fix my clear cf efusion that got all rough somehow. which is in fact fiberglass not cf asuming it is real. which i have reason to believe it is in fact. finally it dawned on me. i hit it with wet 2000 grit emory paper. then i sealed it with 100% synthetic automotive wax. perfectly fixed. so i figured why not take out the scratches on the ss frame while i am at it. flitz made short work of that job. finally as good as new. phew.

just very pleased with evolv. genuine old school company. even though they make a cutting edge product. everyone should take a lesson from them. treat people with kindness and the word will get out. darn good business model if i must say so my self. tickled pink in fact. love this chip and adore the company. what more can i say.
