Mine's just put of the box.....already I wish the pushbutton was on the front, like a Billet Box!

They're nice and tiny hey? :D I picked mine up from the parcel locker last Friday night and am about the end of my first pod (0.5 ohm, vaping 30mg (salt) mint slice flavour - next up is a 0.25 ohm with -273 @ 6mg (freebase))

I got the same colour & panel as you also hehe

Thanks for the info! I just watched Todd's review and it looks like he ended up having to saw it in half just to get inside so that's a bummer. Three bucks isn't too bad I guess for replacements though. Either way, I'm really tempted to give this a shot based on what I've seen.
That because Todd didnt know what he was doing. I have completely disassembled one, AND successfully put it back together.

Yup, not a clue but looking forward to being educated by someone that knows what that are doing.

Did it on one of the first beta China pods, wish I would have taken pics then, guess I will have to do another one. Might be a bit as I am moving houses right now, just got married 3 weeks ago. A couple people on the beta team did it though. The view wasnt worth the climb as long the pods stay in the same price range that they are now. Rebuilding your own coil to hit their .2-.4 total resistance range, in the space available, was a challenge.

Heck, one guy even converted an Orion pod to use a 510!

ETA: the other challenge with rebuilding one of these pods is the amount of cotton is super critical. Too little and it floods, too much and it starves, and the difference between too little/much is hardly perceptible by hand, and you dont know it until you have the pod fully assembled again.

I'd bet $1 that "the first beta China pods" he rebuilt weren't sealed and he hasn't tried to take apart one of the production pods. Just a guess though as I've only been following the topic and don't have the Orion.
You lost your dollar, the coil pictured isn't ss316L.
They were the same as the production ones as far as the seal.

You did a nice job dwcraig1. I think Todd also sawed it apart.

But only Mikepetro's actions can decide whether I win or lose the dollar. I was referring to his posts. The quote is from one of his posts. I'm willing to double down on my bet. :) We know he used "the first beta China pods". Whether or not they were sealed is not stated. And he did not say how he got the pod apart. We do know that he didn't saw it in half since he shot down that method.

I received the same pods as Mike, like I said they were sealed the same.
    Time to pay up.

Ha! Please put the $1 on my running tab. ;)

So if Todd sawed it because he didn't know what he was doing and you sawed it too... then does that mean that you didn't know what you were doing??? ;)

I can only speak for myself, it all depends on just what i am doing...at the time.

    Just joking around, of course.

I would be interested in hearing how Mike disassembled the pod without sawing it. It they can be opened in a less destructive manner, that would be great.

I've seen those pics and asked him if I could have him post them here or give me permission to post them here a few weeks back and I never heard anything back.

They had the bottom plate removed (how he did it I have no idea), the whole mouth piece and airflow assembly totally out of the pod. Same with the fill port. Then he ran wires from the contact pins through the pod to the fill port hole to one of the tiniest 510 connectors I ever seen. It really looked great. I have no such tiny 510 connectors, or I would do the same.

Did one at work this morning. This one was the Japanese cotton version.

    upload_2018-10-10_9-39-9.png

First, fill the Pod with 90% ISO (to soak the seam from the inside), and let it sit in cup with ISO so that the bottom seam (outside) is submerged. Let it sit about an hour. This softens the glue.

    upload_2018-10-10_9-39-57.png

Then stick an allen wrench, metal rod, or other similar device through the fill hole.

    upload_2018-10-10_9-42-13.png

Now, holding the sides circled in red, bang the allen wrench against the table a couple of times good and hard.

The glued seam will come apart.
