Today I got my first decent vaping kit... the Tesla One kit. The tank is a Tesla Vortek (non TC). I have the .2Ω kanthal coils in there (haven't yet tried the .5Ω coils). I primed them correctly I believe, and as far as I can tell my kit does not have any manufacturing flaws. My big problem is that It takes several seconds (up to about 15 seconds) after power on for any vapor to come out of the drip tip to my mouth, and it's not because I'm drawing wrong or anything. I don't believe this is normal, but if it is please correct me. The bigger problem is that there is a TON of spitback. It is almost constantly bubbling, burbling, and crackling when the circuit is completed, and a bit of hot juice sprays into my mouth on every draw (unless if I inhale so softly barely any vapor comes into my mouth). What could be wrong? Something with the wicking? Did I not prime it right? Is my coil defective? Ideas to fix it please?
Help will be much appreciated!
PS. I did try messing around with both airflow controls, doesn't fix the problem.

Sounds like a flooded coil. If the tank is a bottom coil, bottom air, take a paper towel, place it over the mouth piece, hold the tank upside down, then blow through the bottom airflow, if dual air inlet, plug one of the air inlet holes, this will force any excess juice out of the coil assembly, down the air shaft to onto the paper towel, don't blow to hard though to reduce fraying the wicking. After than, roll some of the still clean paper towel tight enough to run it down the drip tip and air stem to clean up any excess juice in there. If it continues to flood, might have to use a thicker juice, check all your seals and gaskets, check everything is seated properly, still continues after that, coil and/or tank may have a defect, replace the coil first being the cheapest, still doing so, flaw in the tank not allowing something to seal up properly, or coil design is prone to flooding.

Flooding can also be cause by environment.

Going from cool to hot environment - keep the tank stored upside down or where only air can be vacated to equalize pressure.
Going from hot to cool environment - same as above, but after about 5 minutes from transition, open the tank up to equalize pressure before sealing back up and can store upright
Going up or down in altitude - store the tank upside down after every use, this is affected going up and down high hills in a car, climbing or decending in a plane, going up or down in a very high building (ie Skyscraper type building)

Not sure I can help specifically, but perhaps in a general way. I don't have that mod or tank.

It sounds like your tank's coils are flooding. Taking so long for vapor to be present, spitting back liquid into your mouth. The gurgling and noise may or may not be normal.

I suggest looking for specific reviews and tips on this particular tank on You Tube.

Thank you both very much. As soon as I get more juice delivered (I ran out) I will try this method you told me IMFire
