Hux was helping me in the garden on tuesday. He hadn't seen the it for about a month when the plants were little. He stepped into the garden and just said, "Whoa!". I pulled a kohlrabi and he helped by cutting off the leaves with the clippers.

Best wishes for everyone in Louisiana and along the Mississippi River (@Uncle Willie ), looks like Barry is going to dump some major rain on you. Stay safe!

RE Patrick - I hate to say it, but I kind of expected news like this. He has been lost without Ginny and I think he gave up the fight. I wish peace and love to him and his family (and all of us who love him so dearly!).

Good morning everyone!

A gloomy morning so far, looks like rain is coming.BUT...I finally had a "brilliant brain" moment yesterday! I can cover the bird feeders, four of them on two shepherds poles, with my air conditioner cover!! And it only took me four years to figure this out, instead of
always trying to get a large tarp
over them and then trying to hold them down with a lot of bungy cords.

I"m forced to use my laptop now because my desktop is pretty messed up. Chey-my GD's.. laptop "took a dump" as she says...so when she's here she uses my desktop....and now IT'S messed up!!!Thank goodness I had a laptop...we would've been having a strained relationship!

Some more news on the homefront....I probably will need Rotator Cuff surgery soon...I basically can't use my left arm as it's mostly frozen...and I'm left handed!
I'm going to an Orthopedic specialist on the 24th to find out.

I'm mostly typing with my right hand...wait---I better start practicing all kinds of things with my right hand!

Yiddle...don't go there!;)

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Hola .. :)

Back in 2016, Pat and I conversed semi-frequently over the fact that he had been diagnosed with Hep C and that the diagnosis had come some time after he actually contracted it, which only added to the problem .. this was around the same time I had the liver issues crop up because of my drinking .. so, we shared that, health wise .. I don't know if the Hep C is the primary culprit now, since we kind of broke off contact for various reasons .. although, I will admit to following bits and pieces of his Journey as I visited the BP clandestinely ..

I'm not going to eulogize about Patrick, since, in my book, it's not over till it's over .. a few years back, during around a time he was experiencing a period of Malaise, as he was prone to do, I took and dug out a many years old noodling of me butchering a certain Train Song .. melding some Train shots in hopes of it bringing a smile to his face (Patrick was a Long Time Railroad Employee and retired from that Career ..) .. and, it worked, he got a good chuckle out of it .. I believe I recorded this back in 1974 or so on, of course, analog gear, and was likely toasted at the time, so don't laugh too hard .. you can hear this embarrassing episode here, because, at the Core, I'm shameless ::

(and oh, it's got 68 views and 3 Likes ..)

Willie the video is wonderful. I bet Pat's daughter would love to see it. I'm sure she has lots of memories of her dad sharing railroad stories with her when she was growing up.

I need a new picture hosting site for the pictures in my signature. Tinypic and imgur come to mind ... any opinions on these or any others? Thanks

While I know you're a Member of the Apple Cartel, would Google Drive work .. ??

My left shoulder is also. I hope you will let me know how it works, and with details. At the time of the initial injury, I was so fed up with doctors, nurses, therapists I just declined further procedures.

I know this is going to sound like a "me too" post but I am recovering from a bad ligament pull that was described to me as a new insult to an old injury. I had no motion ability to reach up .... not only was it painful but also impossible. Went to PT and worked on it for a couple of months and it is better but not healed.

On another front, I have a dear friend who had the rotator cuff repair surgery. He said it was the most painful thing that ever happened to him. Good news is that after what seemed a really long time, it is all better.

Kay, I've had both shoulders done, it's the post-surgery therapy that must be done to the letter and while it is painful, if done correctly, you will have total and complete recovery! You're a woman with true grit, and I know you can do this!
I have full range of motion now and am able to bowl with a 12 lb ball with absolutely no pain and, I throw that ball at a pretty rate of speed down that alley!
