Good morning Yiddle, Bea, Rose, Fran and Anise.

I was up til 1:30 this morning finishing an amazing book. If anyone is at all interested in WWII I would highly recommend anything written by Adam Makos. Our daughter spent some time with him in Denver and recommended his book, Higher Call. I was very impressed with that book so when I saw his book Spearhead at the WWII airshow I didn't hesitate buying it. A WWII vet, Clarence Smoyer, was signing the book and I had a very interesting chat with him not realizing that the book was mostly about him. I could kick myself for not having Mike take a picture of us to keep with the book. Hopefully Clarence will be there next year and I can shake his hand again, give him a hug and tell him how much I admire him.

Two of my favorite plants blooming today!

Bat plant - it has 13 infloresences…it never had that many before. The most was 5.

Red spider lilly. The funny thing is I didn't plant the bulbs. We've been here almost 6 years and they just appeared in my flower bed this year!

It's interesting that some older bulbs that I thought were goners have reappeared also this year.

Have you tried turning the roll around so when she spins it, it doesn't unroll? Cats bat at the roll from the front (usually) so if it unrolls from the back the roll will just spin and not unravel.

This opens that whole "Can of Worms" on how should the roll be positioned on the holder .. which, in an effort in Civility, I'm not even going to open ..

I received a text from Gary, Bea's husband. Her surgery was successful! She was in recovery but going to a regular room to be released to home tomorrow.
