The following is going to sound like self-aggrandizement, however, it's really not intended that way ..
For pretty much my entire life, I went with the idea that I had brown eyes .. it's what it said on all my "credentials", I never thought different about it, no one ever called them anything different .. the one and only thing was that time I adopted a stupid stray kitten, and when I took it to the Vet for a chip, etc, she said the cats eyes were just like mine .. I said no, I have brown eyes .. she insisted they were just like the cats ..
Then, when I made the Ancestry connections (which I've written about previously) .. my long lost Aunt said something to the effect of "you had the most lovely amber eyes when you were a child .." .. the Passport photo somehow caught the light just right and, voila ..
Another weird factoid is I have A Negative blood ..
Mine are a light green, that often appear to be gray, unless...I've been crying, and then they're as green as grass...
