Good morning/afternoon everyone. I'm only on my 2nd cup of coffee so not too sure what is going on yet.
Yesterday, some of you were talking about coffee pots. Well, I use a Keurig as my main pot but have an older Mr. Coffee as my spare/backup. I don't use coffee pods because they are expensive and being plastic are not environmentally friendly. I use the pod that comes with it and have small coffee filters to use with it. I use good ol' Folgers for coffee and really enjoy the simplicity of the Keurig for a fresh cup each time.

I did not quite make it fully thru the first episode of the Most Excellent PBS Ken Burns "Country Music" last night .. however, it's simply a beautiful Tribute to this great art form .. I very much look forward to making my way thru the entire series ..

"Nothing but three chords and the truth"

I love a great "Story Song" .. one of the best examples of the "rub" is ::

I love a great "Story Song" .. one of the best examples of the "rub" is ::

Without a DVR, I've watched the first 2 episodes and love it. Blew me away how many of those old, old songs are entrenched in my memories. Two more episodes this week and the remaining part of the series next week is where I'll be spending part of my evenings.

I'm wishing I had a DVR so that I could watch it all again sometime.

Yeah, I was just tired and hit the sack early .. although, like a child, I was trying to prop my eye lids open .. .. I have the DVR set to record the Midnight showings, so I only had the first episode, last night ..

I'll add that, anyone that cannot connect the dots after watching and listening, on the rich background and what later became Rock, Pop, Soul, etc, must be deaf ..

The Man that Raised me would softly play those old songs ..
