I have been accumulating books to read on my Kindle, but have been busy binge-watching streaming TV series. I don't know how many I have there, but the cloud protects my Kindle capacity. Still can't walk to the library, which is a real pain. Paper is comforting.

Not a kindle, but do have a lot of books on my "convertible" tablet, and use it a lot for ebooks checked out of the library. Between SO and self, we have well over 1000 paper books in the house... yeah, nothing like paper

I am unfamiliar with this term "rain" ..

I've heard that it's something that comes out of clouds, so I suppose it must be a bit stream? Been real scarce around here this last season. We blew out the old record of consecutive days over 80, then really blew out the old record of consecutive days without rain. Not only not good, but for the Pacific NW REALLY BAD since most of us have had to resort to moisturizers for our webbed feet!

It's a beautiful day here...71 and only going a couple of degrees higher.

They tore out my sidewalk a couple of months ago to install new gas lines....and were supposed to pour a new one weeks ago. They're out there now.....and...have installed a drain that the gutter downspout goes into....taking the water under the sidewalk to the street instead of having ice all over my sidewalk in winter...

Good News Times Two .. it's always nice to get some ..

The new Stephen King book won't disappoint if you're a fan.
Tony Iommi is freaking hilarious. He's no scholar but that's not prerequisite to being entertaining.

I listen to Classical while I'm reading and enjoy learning as much as I can about what I like.
That Essential Canon book is good but slightly disappointing.
I expected it would focus on the music but it's about the composers' lives.
I have other books about the music but more = better.

What's That Sound? is the companion text to a free online History Of Rock course.
Coursera has something for almost everyone. I learned a lot from their Beethoven Piano Sonatas course.

The news about Hefner had me thinking about that English shift manager, and friend, who had started at the Playboy casino in England and then the one in Spain. She came to AC when they opened the ill fated one there. It should have been successful, but I knew from the start that it was doomed because they had unfortunately hired the same thieves for upper management that had ripped off MGM Grand in Reno to the point of bankruptcy...

Linda was a gorgeous woman who could have worn that fluffy cottontail well...

I guess I got excited about my new sidewalk too soon... They got here about 10 AM...I left to shop at noon, and when I got back at 1 PM....they were gone.. All they've poured is the curb... I certainly hope they had other spots, somewhere out of sight down the road to work on....otherwise that's the shortest work day I've ever seen...

Well kind of good ... maybe you'll be home when they do pour the concrete and you can put your hand prints in the cement before it drys.

He fianally grew into those ears.

Thanks, Sandy! Wasn't able to find it, so went back to the 'ECF FORMAT' and then was able to find my 'watched' threads.

Switching to that format only makes it slightly less hideous. Still way, way too much whitespace, and the 'like' button is still gone.

This is the 3rd major 'update' i've seen on ecf since i've been around. Both previous 'updates' resulted in tons of people leaving. I doubt this one will be different. It's like they've kissed off usability.

It's sooo 2017...
