Good morning, Loungers!

Except for bowling this afternoon, not too much going on today.

It's a pleasant 40o here with the sun shining, and even though it's chilly, feels refreshing with the windows open!

@Janet H yes, I am sometimes surprised at the remarks my children make about their childhood memories. I have to remember that my perspective as an adult and theirs as children would be different. Some are downright funny! Fortunately, they are mostly good memories!

@Bea-FL , we had thought of hiring an arborist after one of the hurricanes....forget which one...... to inspect one of our giant live oaks , but fortunately, it revived on its own.......was very surprised and delighted.

Good morning everyone! :)

I'm off to another doctor. One of my medicines is giving me tremors and they've gotten pretty bad. Hopefully he'll take me off this medication and put me on something else and that will take care of the situation. This is pretty difficult to deal with all the time.

Boy, I splurged for a full set of winter tires for my daughters car- Blizzaks- pretty awesome. Almost performed as well as my Sube. Are Daddies overprotective of their daughters, or what?

Could be ... When our daughter wanted to relocate to San Diego (from Pennsylvania) after college, she was going to make the drive by herself. Pop's reaction: Bought her a plane ticket and arranged to have her car shipped out there. I just couldn't see myself 'being chill' while she made a 3000 mile road trip by herself.

Absolutely, lol! These tires are going to give me great piece of mind. Was planning on a sport ute when shopping but....

Well the doctor took me off of one of the new meds and put me on something for the side effects. Now we're waiting for my insurance to decide to pay for the it. Hopefully it won't take long. I'm tired of shaking!
Hopefully it doesn't give many side effects. I dislike those intensely.

    Good morning :)

Janet It makes me sad to see trees cut down but Of course sometimes it can't be helped. When Irma hit us we ended up losing seven trees. Two were partially uprooted by Irma. The other five were perfectly healthy but were very close to the house and leaning towards it. We couldn't take a chance of them landing in our living room.

Certified arborists in this area are pricey but they are bonded which gives me peace of mind considering the risks of their job. Ours could reach all the trees with a cherry-picker truck which kept the cost down a bit. Hopefully yours won't cost too much.

It hurts my heart to have to cut down a live tree, but sometimes it just has to be done. That picture was taken awhile ago, the tree is leaning much more now. The guy who came today was amazing. He is an arborist and is a walking encyclopedia! I really wanted an arborist to come take a look at our trees, but figured it would be too expensive. This guy went and did it today and gave most of the trees a clean bill of health. We only have a few with problems, some of those are in the process of dying, but said leave them be until they have to come down. Might as well enjoy them while we can. I was glad to hear there were only a couple that need the trunk to be sprayed to kill an infestation and won't need to be done again for maybe 5 years! And no Spotted Lantern Flies! He also suggested types of trees/bushes to replace what needs to come out and it wasn't nearly as expensive as we thought.

He also makes furniture from old cast iron bases he finds. So I showed him the spot where I need a tv table, been searching for one for the past year. Can't seem to find one that will fit - Bingo! He just picked up a pair of base legs, still in his car, and is going to make us a table to fit and it will match a small crank table we have in there!! It's been a very good day!

    Good morning everyone!

It looks lovely outside! The sun is shining and the snow is glistening but it's appx. 15 degrees. And I'm warm n cozy inside admiring it!:D

Isn't it wonderful to know that we're comfy and safe inside while it's hard weather outside? How lucky we are!!!

Good morning. It's up to 24 degrees so far, going up to 34 today. Brrrr! Guess I'm not going out to search for some sticks to use in my vase for decoration. Poor little birds look like little puff balls. 59 days until Spring!

@Anise, I hope you get some relief quickly.

    Good morning! :)

Oh, it's chilly here! Certainly not the likes of what you Northerners are having, but we're in the mid 30s in the morning and that bites.

Well the doctor took me off of one of the new meds and put me on something for the side effects. Now we're waiting for my insurance to decide to pay for the it. Hopefully it won't take long. I'm tired of shaking!
So hoping that your new med agrees with you, and that your insurance will comply!
