One grocery store here is doing paper bags.
I read an article yesterday and we are going to have the 3rd stage of reopenings starting real soon. Buffets will be allowed to open but they will not be self-serve, an employee will have to serve the items. I'm looking forward to a trip to Golden Corral, myself.Yeah, and, I'd guess, Buffets will be the last to get any all clear .. I do love me some Golden Corral when the Jones hits .. and, there are some pretty good Casino Buffets around here (or used to be)

I believe you are right.Maybe they'll put the server behind the glass, with the food, to dish out
Or something similar. I suspect it's to minimize how many hands touch the ladles.
I was reading about the open carry protests here in Texas this morning. Groups are using this COVID situation for publicity, standing outside businesses that are shut down with assault rifles. Sherriff offices are getting involved, showing up, tensions are rising. One wrong move is all it would take to cause a really bad situation. Guns on both sides, civilians nearby, and jumpy LEO's surrounded by assault weapons ... makes the potential for violence high.Morning, lizards.
Still soggy in the PNW, just as we like it.
Don't think we'll ever get back to "normal", and too soon to speculate on what the new "normal" will look like. Will we transition to always wearing masks when out? Seems that some of the Asian countries where that's been the norm - out of consideration for fellow humans - have been able to handle this one a little better.
Than again, with the noisy few ranting about their "right" to do whatever (my right to stay healthy doesn't seem to matter to them), will mask wearing become political? (Has it already?) Camo makeup and assault rifles at a State Capital? Uh, if that were a mob of color, I think the official reaction would have been quite different.
Yes, "unfair" to lock down the healthy, but the testing debacle really hasn't left much choice. Massive testing, the ill could be quarantined. And might show that covid isn't as deadly as thought. Or not. Heck, if they're only testing those who are showing symptoms, there's no way of really knowing how wide-spread it really is. The not knowing is the problem.
Various people have been talking about global pandemics for many years. Other than the 69 page plan the Obama admin gave to Trump, I'm not aware of any other "official" plan, and, of course, it was trashed. So, of curse, no way to know if it was a sensible plan or not, but I suspect it was better than denial and finger pointing.
Meanwhile, maybe it's time for us all to take the time to re-evaluate our priorities.

Are you asking me about my tablet or talking to someone else? My tablet is dead. It appears we got all the water out but the damage was done the first night. I've found a few refurbished that are under $50. My DH and I had decided we each get $50 of the stimulus money to get whatever we want. Guess I'll be buying a fire8. Whatever I get I'll never bring it in the bathroom no matter what the circumstances are at the time.Any luck with your ereader?![]()
I can't remember how many books I have submerged during a bubble bath. Yes, one of my enjoyments is reading while soaking in the tub with a cup of coffee. I was able to spend some time in Hawaii one time. Having a tub was a requirement. After 6+ months on a ship with nothing but showers, I was looking forward to a bubble bath. Except, it was a six-pack on ice in the sink and not coffee.Whatever I get I'll never bring it in the bathroom no matter what the circumstances are at the time.
