Meet Me in St Louie Louie
    Hey!

Life has been a bit spastic for a few weeks so I wasn't up to posting..tho I have been reading...Yiddle called me a while ago so I thought I'd pop in....family illnesses and death and my GD going thru hell emotionally and mentally with the boyfriend break up and moving and drama with her parents and staying here with me a lot lately and my breathing issues which have gotten worse with this vicious weather..was in the hospital overnight a week or so ago....but 'm a tuff ole broad...I just need to get it thru my thick skull that i need to stay in the house till dusk! And then only play around in the dirt for a short time!

BUT..:D...I'm gonna go outside when it's DUSK to video my side yard gardens and such. I'm really pleased with what I've done and I know it looks good cuz the guy that takes care of the mowing for a lot of homes here stopped by and told me that i had the best looking yard in the whole mobile home park!!!! He could have been exaggerating...but I took it with grace and humbleness:D

BTW...Gracie...I'm glad that you have two good working feet finally!

But...please...don't be kicking your hubby in the you-know-what anymore:D

I was wondering about you lately .. happy to see you Post .. :)

Which leads me to ask the Experts (of course I could ask Mr/Ms Google, but what fun is that .. ??)

I bought a small flat of 6 coleus that were pretty tiny a while back, yet were cheap at $6 clams .. I remember somebody saying something about cutting them to get them more dense and maybe transplanting the cuttings .. ??

Here they are, I have them in the workshop window .. I know it looks like a Jail, but hey, I'm in a tough neighborhood ..

Big enough to trim .. ?? Then what .. ??

Pinching out the tiny growing tips will cause them to branch out and get fuller... I'd wait until they were a bit taller to cut a stem for rooting...;) just put the cuttings in a glass of water and they should root fairly quickly...

I would wait until they grow a couple more sets of leaves. These plants are still pretty small and they need all their leaves right now for energy to grow. When they have grown a couple more sets of leaves you can pinch off the two topmost growing leaves…as in what I circled. This will encourage the plants to bush up by sprouting lateral shoots.

Now, if you want to grow more plants, you should wait a little longer or you could cut the stem about where I marked in the secobd pic and place in water. In a couple of weeks it will have some nice roots and you can plant it.

You'll need to enlarge the photos so you can see my marks.

You mean the tiny shoots that pop out where the branch meets the main stem .. ??

Can't you just cut the top of a stem off and stick it in some wet dirt .. ?? (when ready) ..

Bea's pics are very good at showing you where to pinch...and cut. I've never tried putting them directly into potting soil...you might want to use a rooting hormone to do it that way...

I see your marks .. :) .. I'll give them a couple more weeks .. I was going to take them to the house and put them on the front stoop and/or my deck .. but, they seemed to do pretty well in the window at the workshop .. and, I like seeing them there .. :) .. my Sago Palm can barely be seen in the pic .. it's on the floor on top of a short log I took off a tree a few years ago .. it's like a little Hobbit Land .. :)

yup it's spelled acepromazine all right but I'm so bad at spell checking my posts…:(the "p" ended up as an"l"…because the p is right above the l on the keyboard  and the keyboard is so small on my iphone

Not a problem. I do it all the time! Normally I don't care at all, but in this case though I didn't want someone asking for the wrong medication.

Boot removed from foot and finally, after a full year,.my foot feels and looks normal again!!

Am so grateful and God bless my surgeon!

Yay!! Glad to hear you're getting back to normal!! Take it easy doing the happy dance for awhile until you're sure you're normal.

Sorry to hear about the drama. At least your life isn't dull...

It's so wonderful to be able to admire your gardening isn't it! And to have someone else notice! I'm rebuilding some of our flower beds outside with new perennials. They should be gorgeous next Spring. Some plants won't be delivered till the Fall which is sad, I want them now!!

Uh Oh Willie. Sounds like you're hooked!! You should keep the plants where you can see and enjoy them and since you have a shop and a home you need plants in both!! Plants are good for the soul. And they're pretty too.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has a good day today. I have nothing planned and think I'll just lounge around today. Maybe I'll practice making coils. Whatever I end up doing it'll be something with no stress involved.

Good morning Gracie, Bea and Anise. Looks like a cloudy day here, but the oppressive heat has left. We're going to be in the 80s today instead of the 90s. Had some good rain last night and could get more today, but we could use it. I have to go get blood drawn this morning but then I'll be free to do some food shopping (we only have 1 egg left ) and then I need to do some weeding in the garden. I think it's purslane that's growing rampant and I'm not sure what the spiky stuff is, but they both pull out nicely if the ground is wet.
