Good morning all. Yesterday sucked. Oh just from start to finish. BUT, today is a new day and I hope it goes better, I really do.

Here's hoping it does, I get things finished (well, I WILL) and hoping the husband ALSO wakes up thinking it is a new day with no mistakes in it yet. (Shamelessly stolen from Anne of Green Gables one of my favorite children's books. LOL.

Congrats @Uncle Willie , you make a nice thread! :)

Last evening, what I like to call a "Pop Up Thunderstorm" came thru around 7:00 PM .. big wind gusts and a heavy rain .. lasted maybe 10 minutes .. the good news is, it was the Harbinger of a bit of cooler weather, at least for the next several days .. mid to high 80's sounds great to me .. :)

I've been a Fan of America since their first album .. the sometimes cryptic lyrics and the always great backbeat ..

What a difference a day makes!
My weather here was the same as Willie's yesterday...a quick hard windy storm...didn't last more than an hour...but it sure cooled it off! I've been out in the sunporch enjoying the breeze and the birds all morning.
Turned the air off last evening...and haven't had to turn it back on yet, tho I do have the ceiling fans in full operation...just in case:)

    Competitive Eating Contests .. o_O

Come on now .. the Dude ate 74 Nathans Hot Dogs with Buns in 10 Minutes .. ?? It's now called "Major League Eating" .. ?? (MLE) .. which is a "sanctioning body" .. ?? And, I understand there is a Cash Prize as well .. on top of the most coveted "Mustard Belt" ..

First, I can't fully grasp how any Human could eat that many Hot Dogs in 10 minutes .. I mean, Nathan's are OK dogs, but still .. .. I always figured I could eat my weight in King Crab legs, given enough time, but certainly not in 10 minutes .. ;)

I'm lucky to get down 3 Hot Dogs and I'm tapped out ..

And, how do these people feel when done .. ?? Especially the losers .. "Oh, man, I just ate 69 Hot Dogs and I lost .."

Does the Winner pose for the Pics and then quietly walk away from the Crowd and hurl .. ?? The years of training that must be required in order to attain this level of sheer Gluttony and belly stretching I can't even imagine ..

A woman goes thru 9 months of pregnancy and delivers a, what .. ?? Seven pound on average Baby .. ?? What's 74 Hot Dogs weigh .. ??

    I'm not even going to touch on the eventual passing thru of the Digestive Tract .. {{shudder}}

Oh, well, different strokes, I guess .. any Crab Leg eating contests out there .. ??

Now that's the kind of weather you can keep right on sharing. As soon as i heard the wind and saw the silver maples turn their leaves I knew the heat was breaking.

Here in Fly Over Country, we peaked yesterday at 99o with a 110o heat index .. at the Workshop, I was lucky to get down to 80o .. even with a particle removal unit on, I had fine sawdust stuck on my arms, legs and face .. if I had been Nude, I could have been "Sawdust Man" .. o_O .. used my air compressor to blow it off .. even that air was warm ..

    Good morning everyone :)

Gorgeous and yes, they made me smile!

ETA to ask if that is 'Hawaiian Sunset' hibiscus?
Sorry, I don't know its name. But the other plant is a hybrid species of orchid called Catasetum.

I've got a couple of those potted on the deck .. have had them for years .. have to drag them inside during the Winter which is a hassle and a half since they are not small .. here is a little bit different angle .. :)

I don't comprehend this "sport". It makes no sense to me…even with the possibility of winning money.

Good morning everyone! Today I'm going to take some of the more usable coils I made yesterday and try to build and wick (or is wicking part of building?) a couple of rdas and rtas that I purchased mainly for practice. If I manage to produce something usable I might even juice it up and try it out on a mod. Hope nothing explodes!
