I am a firm believer in what you do, changes you. We had this good pal back East and like, his family was from the Mayflower and etc., he and the husband were ah, "Vying for my hand" and he kept it secret that he was a trust fund kid, due to trust fund fears, and well, it might have been nice to be working with that information but like, it probably wouldn't have changed the outcome. He used to be a really nice guy.
I went back east after like, he had somehow finally joined up with the Clinton foundation in some sort of politically corrected way to do with computers. He spent a lot of time talking about interns, and he looked SO DIFFERENT. He was all puffy and had a sore on his mouth and just his general presence was freaking, not so great. I just kinda talked with him for a while and was like, "Dude, you're in your late 30s, maybe it's time to focus less on the interns and maybe like, find a nice wife." He was like, "But it's just so EASY with the interns."
I was like, "No, it's not EASY with the interns it's just easy to have POWER over a person and to abuse that, and it's really bad for your HEALTH."
This is why I was a manager for 5 months, I tried it, I had to fire someone, the firing was justified but I quit shortly thereafter, because frankly, the only power I want to have is over MYSELF and some days I can barely manage THAT.
I bet he's not doing so hot these days but given the political climate of the day, neither myself nor the husband really want to know, I mean, he was connected.
It was really sad, but that's the thing. Choices have outcomes. I am wracking my brains to think of an attractive USA politician, but it's just not... and it's across the board, I mean Ted Cruz literally looks like that picture "The Scream" only it moves and talks and it's....
Yeah, I haven't seen too many hot politicians. I think it's a deep inner despondency about what they are doing to themselves that they refuse to let surface, because they CAN'T do it and remain in the profession, and I think that about prostitutes I encounter, too. That's a lot of effort, the inner struggle to be okay with doing what you are doing and just suppress your subconscious all the time.
Etc.
