41 here but it's already 51 and the highs going to be 75. Might actually be one of the few decent weather days down here.

Okay... Hadn't really been prepared to photograph my first attempt... Paint hasn't finished drying, so there's the inevitable glare caught from the flash on still wet paint, and crooked in the frame because of shaky hands... A better camera would help as well...

Done on an 8x10 canvas panel...cheaper than using my stretched canvases to experiment and learn on... My first attempt at a 'tree ring' pour...

Very nice, Sandra .. I could see you setting up at a Craft Fair next Spring / Summer when you've had some time to build up an Inventory ..

I decided to make the Wine Tour yesterday morning, and got lucky enough to score a room at a Hermann, MO B&B .. I've always admired this old place from the outside, it evokes the long ago days of the Riverboats along the Missouri .. a little bit creepy to boot, in a good way .. ( I like creepy, sometimes) .. .. the Bed was comfy, the room was cozy, I wished I could have had the Attic area, but, oh, well .. the owners are quite Hospitable, I had a nice breakfast earlier (no home made English Muffin bread, though .. ), they had a "private blend" coffee that was very nice .. and, as a bonus, there is an old Cemetery nearby that dates to the mid 1800's or so ..

They let me stay till Noon, although checkout is supposed to be 11 AM .. quick shower and shave and I'll tool around some till maybe around 4:00 PM .. may hit a Casino in St Louis on the drive home for a minute ..

That is absolutely gorgeous!! I can't believe it's only your first attempt! If you keep that up people will be knocking down your door for one of your originals. Don't stop painting! I saved a copy to look at occasionally because it makes me smile and feel at peace. That doesn't happen often enough in my life. Thank you for sharing it with us!
