Any exercise is good for us, done right. She hadn't danced for years, saw some coworkers join up and in she went. She had to replace her cartilage.

This is essentially how I injured my knee when skiing. Using muscles intensely only a couple times per year. It seems ok when you are doing it and then......... OOPS.

Well, if I took up anything more than I do now, it would probably be zumba or ballet exercises, but I have enough exercise for now. I kinda tend to collapse on the couch when I get home the days I work.

It's more physically demanding than you think doing cleaning. No wonder you're tired.

It's terrible. It feels fine when I'm doing something. TWO DAYS later...ouch!!! Now, I'm chicken to do heavy stuff. 20 years of sitting behind a desk did me in.

Professional cleaning is sooo demanding on the body. OMG, I remember crawling out of bed when I first started. After I was laid off during recessionary cut-backs, I made up my mind that I would never have a desk job again b/c of the weight it puts on a person and the sad shape of the muscles. I have lost a lot of weight, but more jeans sizes than the weight would account for, so I guess my body is changing shape also. The difficulty in professional cleaning is all the reaching and moving of the light furniture and having to bend to pick things up. And then most of the homes I clean are double story, so bouncing up and down the steps several times. I can for sure tell my back and thighs are a lot stronger.

Yes, but it's doing wonders for your health...mostly. Just don't over do it. :)

Sea, I imagine your back gets quite a workout. I'll bet you're wise enough to know how to protect it. I'm always worried that one day I'll do something stupid to that, too!

Well, I guess that's where the yoga would help, Lisa. You're smaller boned than I am. I'm large boned for my height and a little top heavy (giggle), so my back hasn't given me much trouble. But the neck when I sit at the computer too long sometimes bothers me.

Good night Jag, sweet dreams, my friend.

Sea, I know what you mean. I have essentially stayed in the same weight range for.... well, forever. And yet, clothes fit differently than they used to. You're right about sitting at the computer or a desk, though. I've learned to be very conscious of my posture when doing that. It's taken some effort, and I fall back into slouching when I'm really concentrating on something, but it has seemed to help.

Energy medicine has proven that women carrying a shoulder bag with the strap over a main energy meridian can weaken the back/posture integrity also. That's why I try to carry a teeny purse. Nope, Lisa, still haven't found another purse yet. Carrying my fanny pack when I go out ... I dont care to shop really.

OK - one more thing, then nitey-nite.

I saw the perfect purse recently and thought of you - similar to that one....... and the shoulder thing? I'm very sure that is true!!!!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!

Here's hoping the fine citizens of Greensboro, NC, act like they have some sense and don't bring their drunk butts to my hospital after doing something stupid ;). Yes, my compassion knows no bounds!! :D

HA HA HA......If I get drunk and fall down and injure myself.....I will be sure and tell 911....DO NOT TAKE ME TO NORTH CAROLINA! :D

Good Morning, Tink, jj, and Fellow Beachers.

We (mostly hubs) are smoking a bunch of salmon today. From the Alaskan fishing trip. I am going to make smoked salmon spread....some to give away, some to keep. I wish we all lived close...I would share. I do like salmon, but he brought home a lot.

Then of course, hubs will be plopped in front of the t.v. tonight for the Super Bowl. For two days, all I have heard is, "Wish the Bears were playing in the Super Bowl." I had to remind him that the Bears have not played in most Super Bowls. (I think twice in the last 28 years.)

Have a great Sunday everyone....it has been snowing off and on here all morning. We finally do have a white covering...it finally looks like winter in Illinois.

This is what hubs will be facing later....
