LOL, I would be the same way, Campi. You should always spray first, then swat so if it's a biter, it won't get away. I got a serious spider bite several yrs ago and had to go to the doctor for antibiotics. It really nailed me, and I dint even feel his bite. My BF had cut down bushes around the house that day, and it was then homeless, so chose my bedroom for his new home (right behind the bushes).

On the other had, my daughter lets her pet tarantula crawl all over her.8-o

Hi Sea! Funny you mentioned 'spray'....I usually spray spiders with hairspray to immobilize them first. This morning I was feeling brave and just grabbed a shoe. Before I got to it apparently it decided it didn't want to get squished and took off. I didn't see where it went, have no idea where it is....I almost didn't come home....ever again.

I'm sorry you got bit! (sorry I forgot to say that in my response. ) I know someone that got bit by a recluse and it was really nasty. It's hard to imagine how bad those tiny little things can cause so much damage! (and people wonder why I'm so scared of them. )

This was me this morning right before work.....I spotted a HUGE spider on my doorframe...and it disappeared just as I was about to squish it!! 8-o 8-o

I've carried the habit of putting a glass over any/all spiders...leave 'em for hubs to dispose of. Can't stand squishing the little buggers. :bleck:

Looks like we have a Vaporversary and a Birthday today.
