Lounging By the Beach - Part 3

Good Friday morning, Beachers......
I have so much to do today, I do not know where to begin. So I started here.
Fun part first.....same philosophy as eat dessert first.
Busy weekend coming up. It is our local, famous in northern IL, Sweet Corn Festival. Usually attended by 50,000 plus people. I only go on Saturday morning when the produce vendors show. Michigan peaches....the best. And then Sat. p.m. have the granddaughter for the night. Meeting sister for breakfast on Sun. morning half way between our houses....45 miles away. Then granddaughter comes back Sun. evening for another overnight. Her parents are very active in the Sweet Corn Festival as they are chamber of commerce members.
That means housework and grocery shopping today since I will have no time for that this weekend.

Yes, it will be fun.....but exhaustive. This coming week will be TGIM for us. She is still too young to understand why we cannot play with her 24/7. So it is play with her or listen to her complaining about why we are not. Either way....tiring.

Piper is keeping parents up a lot at night. Wants to be held and rocked. Yes spoiled already.
A swing arrived yesterday so keeping fingers crossed for them that it works.
Off to pool. Have to get it done this morning because shopping trip number two has to be done after the afternoon thing.

My little boy died last night. Poor little Triton, I miss his ornery little way already. I just couldn't force enough food down him to keep him alive.

I camped out down at the creek yesterday and last night. It was rather poor timing because it rained on and off. Didn't even get to enjoy a campfire. This morning, I had to come up the hill early to be with Lexi. She has severe separation anxiety and my son and his fiance had to go to work. So - I've been here today, but I'll go back downhill tonight. I left the tent up because the weather this weekend is supposed to be much nicer. With luck, the coons haven't broken in and stolen my supplies. 
Sounds like you all have busy weekends planned. Whatever happened to the weekends being set aside to rest and recuperate from our busy weeks? When I was still working, I ended up spending the weekends doing the shopping, cleaning, and laundry. I'd have to go back to work to relax. Now - I'm kicked back most of the time, and feel bad for those that can't do the same.
