Meanwhile, the 3 items I bought for $15 all worked, microSD memory card, data cable and Weedeater gas cap all doing what they're supposed to. Life's small victories.

Sun, would you only rescue strays guaranteed to make it? Of course not. Animals in perfect condition wouldn't need rescuing to begin with. Did you expect/hope to save every one of them? I hope not. Maybe saving everyone is not your goal, but that you tried? Cheer up! You did all you could. In my opinion, you already do more than enough, but then, I can't do what you do.
