Good Morning, Beachers......I love the way people congratulate Jag on surviving a "shopping trip". LOL....c'mon ladies we all know he had a great time watching the people of Walmart!!

People-of-Walmart.jpg

Have a great Monday, everyone.....I am busy, busy. Leaving Friday morning for a two day trip with girl friends up to northern Illinois to see a play and visit an orchard and shop. Jag....p.m. me if you want to go too. :D

Hi, Jag......
heart.gif

What's so funny? It was a harrowing experience. People tell me it's so much fun people watching at the airport. I see "internal" dramas on their faces and don't find it entertaining.

PM incoming. :sneaky:

I'm going to make Thai Panang Curry tonight for dinner and discovered I'm out of Thai chilis and basil, so off to the store I go.

I'll catch up with my friends later. Happy Monday!:)

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans..

5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

I think it's the overall lifestyle, attitude. :?:

Yep!
I believe I'll hang around down here on the beach some ;)

Let me congratulate you on your decision. :D

And now a serious subject. Back in the 80's, I saw the mega-trend of employers shifting from pension plans to 401ks, thus passing the administrative and decision making processes onto employees. This is the next logical step. As a former employer, I can understand the reasoning. Employee benefits are quantifiable expenses, so are administrative costs. However, just as the confusing 401k market gave employees a ton of headaches, this will pass on more work to each individual. More changes coming...

And the changes are not good! Hubs is currently in training on how to place people in Obamacare.....he is totally disgusted with the red tape mess that this is creating. I cannot believe they are hiring street people...."navigators"....to help people with this mess. Hubs says it is an absolute nightmare. And all they would have had to do was make Medicare available to younger people. A program already in place...and it does a fair job of controlling costs. However, it is rife with corruption and misuse....those "navigators" could have been hired to clean up an expanded Medicare program. :glare:

The conservative population would not go for more government healthcare. For people like me who buy their own, it's actually not many changes, except my premium after government subsidy would be less...I hope.

Sorry, I only have female drawers....you think I am kinky? :D

Mexico is a little higher than us and it's not English. UK, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia all have lower heart attack deaths than we do. Even Haiti!!! Haiti??????

Regarding Obamacare.....yes, you might be paying less for health care....but we all will be paying more in taxes. Someone has to support all the government red tape, new hirees, and more people getting Medicaid. :(

I know. Nothing is free and no one is trying to lower costs. I like taxes so much I'm bobbing around the national poverty line...by choice.

Shake it, baby! Later...:D
