I was watching it change. It was changing at an average of 10/minute for a while. I guess it got faster after I came here and quit watching it. I estimated about 46 minutes when it was at 4,600 left, and it's been well over that. So...

One way or another, it's finished, I'd say.

I have no luck with contests. Terry told me to "stand and deliver". I did...nothing. Classy linked me to a thread where all I had to do was be the 5th supporting member posting. I got lost in the directions. I'll never win anything.

I really wasn't paying that much attention to it. I just figured we'd make it.

I have to get going. I just got a message about the rash of break-ins that has been occurring around here lately; all times of day, night, people sleeping, doors getting pried and kicked in, many in broad daylight. Entire safes being taken, garaged cars, everything. This has been going on since Aug 5. This time it was today, around 2:30, two blocks from here. Two others were also two blocks in other directions. I need to do some correspondence.

There is a "town hall" meeting tomorrow night and my new security system will be here in two days........

And you're really pretty Lisa, so you might want to think about not going anywhere unescorted. Ask DH to buy you a couple of 38 specials ... one for each pocket if you must go out to concerts and the like alone. Lecture over.
