Glam, so glad thing's are improving :)
We'll continue to pray for you, her and all your family!

Thanks, Dale, and thanks to all of you for your continued support. We had a set back yesterday....the antibiotic my sister was on gave her an infection called C Diff....it is highly contagious. So they gave her on an antibiotic for that, and even tho the hospital thinks the infection is gone, the rehab center does not want to take her for a few more days. This is a setback because the sooner she gets some rehab, the better her chances of getting better. So it is still one day at a time for us. We are still getting smiles, and she sat in a chair for three hours yesterday so that was a positive step. I am now praying that she can learn to eat so that we can get rid of the temporary feeding tube and not have to deal with the stomach tube surgery. But we need rehab for that step.

I am so grateful for your continued support....prayers if you wish, thoughts and cyber hugs if you wish, both if you wish.....all are welcome. We are still going down to the hospital on a daily basis. I will be back soon....hopefully while she is recouping in the rehab center.

Hugs to you all, and hoping all of you are well and looking forward to Thanksgiving.

Love,
Teresa

I'm so sorry about Stefanie's infection. Hopefully the new antibiotic will clear that up quickly and she'll be on the way to a very nice recovery in rehab soon.

Fifty years ago today, I was in study hall when I heard that John Kennedy was shot. Where were you?

I was a little 8 yo tyke sitting in school class at my hinge-top ink well desk when the announcement came over the loudspeaker. The class fell totally silent of all chatter when those words were uttered, and most of us were crying. I don't think anyone will ever forget where they were and what they were doing when they heard.

You got that right or at least most I know remember.

Just when you thought you heard/seen it all.

Hi, jj....thank you. And I did know you were safe after the tornadoes hit. Lisa texted me and asked if we were ok. I told her I was, but I did know you are very close to where they were spotted. She let me know when you started posting again. We were in the hospital in Bloomington and were told to go to a hallway. That was some nasty stuff. I feel so sorry for the people in Washington....but at least only one death. From the looks of the destruction, it could have been so much worse.

I am staying home today to do some pre-Thanksgiving cleaning and I needed a break from the hospital. My housework has been neglected.

And feline report.....Oreo Speedwagon Hellraiser has not gotten any better. My daughter who was here but went home yesterday said that she thought the cat was not quite right....and of course, we did agree.

See you all soon I hope....thanks for the hug, jj. It made me feel good even if you did knock me down. :)

Dangerous Diet Trend: The Cotton Ball Diet - ABC News

The article said... "unless you're dining on an expensive organic brand, most cotton balls aren't made of cotton. They're bleached, polyester fibers that contain a lot of chemicals."

This makes me wonder (not that I'd eat cotton) if 100% pure organic cotton (the only kind recommended for vaping) would be digestible at all. That is, I wonder if, cotton being organic, the stomach and intestines would break down the cotton. I mean, yeah, the idea seems quite insane, but maybe if the right kind of cotton is used, at least the "blockages or a full obstruction" would not happen.
