Stuff for the afternoon thing I do, and I've reached the point of having to print a lot of stuff.
If you just refilled, sometimes I'd have to clean the slits in the heads with alcohol on toilet paper. Get it quite damp, but only rub gently in the same direction as the slits. If that doesn't help, you might go in very small circles. The ink gets dried up in there sometimes. This won't hurt the head, and if it's dead or dying, it certainly won't hurt.
I'd also have to squeeze the sides sometimes, to get the ink to flowing.

Sorry you had it so bad, Scott. Why didn't the Vita C work better? Or were you re-catching from exposure to family?
I been refilling the darn things for a long time. Second time for this one so I'm going to have to order more.
And I do that every time.

It's really pitsy no one jumps in to keep things caught up when a person is off. Hope things improve quickly.

I got the printer about a year ago. Refilled the cartridge not long ago so was a bit surprised it was out already.
Personally we don't print much but have been doing a lot of that for the afternoon thing.
When I buy some, I will get at least a couple.
Have you cleaned the contact area inside the printer, where the ink cartridges touch? There could be ink on those contacts. I use a Q-Tip moistened with alcohol and scrub them. All kinds of gunk comes off, even if they don't look that bad. Maybe try this.
Did that after I tried it the first time it failed. I think it just needs to sit for a bit. Or at least I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Otherwise I'll have to go buy one tomorrow and I don't to do that. I'd rather order Online.

One last thought. My printer has a head clean and a purge function in the utilities section of the printer. The first thing I try is clean. It has clean and then a 2nd attempt. I can do that a few times, and then try purge. Purge runs a lot of ink through, and can get it working again. Have you noticed this or something like it on your printer?
