As a kid, we planted a big garden and did the same thing. Also munch on the carrot and radishes. Used a hose to rinse them off. Us kids usually ended up socking wet from fighting over the hose.

When I was a kid, if a hose was involved we'd all be soaking wet

All kidding aside, there is nothing better than a ripe tomato fresh out of the garden. Just ask Glam about that. She tried for a permit as a distributor last summer but was denied.

LOL....I could have applied for a permit....I have never had that many tomatoes. I love them....so I kinda planted way too many. I remember I was making salsa, spaghetti sauce, and freezing some, eating with every meal, and still had hundreds....luckily I have friends that do not have gardens so I was able to share. I still had garden tomatoes in November. Picked green and put in the basement to ripen.

I remember I was making salsa, spaghetti sauce, and freezing some, eating with every meal, and still had hundreds....luckily I have friends that do not have gardens so I was able to share. I still had garden tomatoes in November. Picked green and put in the basement to ripen.

Had the last of mine at Thanksgiving.

It did feel that way....I had them laying all over the deck, in the garage on a table, on the kitchen counter....and then I would look out in the garden the next day.....and there were hundreds more. It was almost comical. I have a friend who makes canned salsa....I probably took her 20 Walmart bags full of tomatoes. They just kept coming and coming.
