Red's Rye IPA - Bottles | Our Beers | Founders Brewing Co.

Description from website:

Serious hop bitterness, along with an unyielding grapefruit bouquet from the Amarillo dry hop, balances the malty richness of four varieties of imported Belgian caramel malts. Pours a spectacular crimson with a creamy tan head. A generous addition of rye malt accentuates a spicy, crisp finish.

ABV: 6.6%
IBUs: 70
Availability: Jan - Apr

No mention of Whiskey. :?:

I heard a commotion outside. It sounded like a big garbage truck's brakes, etc., so I went outside to see what was going on. There was a really big, brand spanking new Fire Truck parked across the street. Not a minute later, a cop car pulled up, and then another. Then an ambulance. There was a woman upstairs across the street they took away. She walked down the stairs on her own, but they took her away in the ambulance.

Whew... now I need some green beer. I might even take that Red's Ale about now.

Speaking of commotions, a neighbor stopped by this morning to ask us "what was up with all the police and k-9 and craziness?" ....and we looked at him as if he was nutz! ? not knowing what he was talking about ! amazing what goes on in some neighborhoods, huh!

Hope your neighbor is okay

I've never met her, or really even seen her... except for tonight. I try not to get involved with the people in those two buildings across the street. They are mostly transients. I've been here nearly 5 years now, but those two duplexes (top and bottom single floor apartments in one building, each) don't usually have anyone living there for more than a few months. They need too much, always asking to borrow stuff, use my phone, or needing a ride somewhere. I used to do it, but have put a stop to it recently. I know that's sad of me, but I have my own problems. If I do it one time, they keep coming back, more and more regularly each time.

Yes, you have to put a stop to it, it does get out of hand, unfortunately they take advantage!

Ha, ha, Stone.....I would have gladly done that if not involved with Hellraiser and his new family. But it is never too late!

Your husband has WHAT in his nether region, jj? Hope the swelling goes down soon. :D

Good Morning, Beachers. I slept in this morning...probably from all the pain killers I have been taking. I have managed to get some things done...but am just hobbling slowly. I gave hubs his Valentine's present....a Chicago Bears gnome....sitting on an orange "C" and holding a football. That is the kind of things you give when you have no ideas of what to buy. But I do think he really likes it.

Now off to do more hobbling...to the washer and dryer. :( That is as romantic as it gets here.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Not sure what a Rye is but if I drink a beer, actually, it's only one of those hi-test Belgian style quadrupels

I got Bud Light:toast: :vapor:

When I was drinking beer in New Orleans, I drank Budweiser Longnecks. When I moved here, I switched to Miller Lite. I don't go out much anymore, but the last two times, Miller Lite didn't taste right. It's like they changed the formula or something, and those Vortex Longneck bottles are weird. That last time, I complained and someone heard me. He told me I should try Coors Light and offered to buy me one. I'd had Coors back in NOLA and remembered it was good, so I said OK. It was pretty good, so I bought him one the next time. If I buy beer again, I guess that's what I'll go to.

I don't think they do it intentionally, necessarily. They are needy. But once it starts, it's hard to stop. :( I can't really blame them for asking.
