Stone - it's my fave too. I've been cutting back on soft drinks and am usually sitting here in the evening with a glass of Simply Lemonade or oj.
Sometimes it is a jigger or two of honey whiskey instead.
I drink it with chia seeds...it's a health food thing. I can be healthy sometimes
Don't the chia seeds make your honey whiskey a little crunchy?
When I first started teaching here I had an 89 Camaro. I was involved in an accident with a semi and had my head hit the driver's window twice. Had a headache but otherwise was okay so never went to the doc. I have neck problems today and that its probably why, so I want to be sure Tink is on the lookout.
I was in an accident at 17 yo, on the way to high school. I was in the copilot seat of a Ford Pinto that hit a telephone pole in a wet, muddy ditch at 35mph. My sister was in the back seat behind me. None of us were wearing a seat belt. When the car hit the pole, my sister's foot hit the seat back rest release, so I hit the dashboard and windshield, then she hit me.
I was OK for years, but developed neck problems. I had most of it worked out by a Chiropractor in '86, but my work business closed and the insurance ran out. I continued to see him as long as I could while in college. My neck is basically OK now, but maybe this is why I have such a warped sense of humor.
Anyway, I agree with you Sun, that I hope Tink gets her son some immediate attention for his head and neck.
Tink - I'd take him in for an x-ray. Really. I only expect mine to keep getting worse with age unless I opt for surgery. The problems didn't show up for a long time so I can't pinpoint and say it was that wreck, just surmise.
When the weather clears up - not now!
This is so typical!!! Sometimes problems show up in months, and other times it can take years. I was 17 in the car accident, in my mid-20's when I noticed problems, and in my 30's when I began having real problems. I know that a lot of people don't believe in Chiropractors, but I chose that option over traditional medicine. I didn't want to be cut on. Whatever the avenue, I think X-Rays are in order.
