Good Morning, Beachers and good night, Tink. Happy no one was hurt, Tink, and that it was a single car accident. And it has been my experience (2 side impacts) that usually after a side impact car accident, body parts do ache from the jolt and usually do heal with no lasting problems. And sometimes even the experienced drivers in ice and snow have driving problems, most failing to slow down enough.....look at the interstates. Usually the truckers are the first in the ditches and median. Hopefully your son now realizes how hazardous the roads can be, and will use this lesson wisely.

Everything went good at the Dr's. office. Xrays showed loss of cartilage on one side of my knee....so they gave me a cortisone shot and told me to lose 20 lbs. I can resume exercise, but nothing strenuous on the knees....so I will have to modify my exercise routine to include more stretching and less bouncing. Dang! I wanted to be able to get old without feeling it.

And now I can no longer use the excuse, my knee hurts....I will have to get back to the daily grind of house chores. 8-o

Which I need to start right now. See you later.

Good Morning!

Good Morning, My Dear Heart.

Good morning Beach

Good Morning, Stone. :)

Good morning :)

Good Morning, Dearest.

Well, not the best morning for me

Most of the way home from work was pretty clear. The secondary roads are covered in snow. As I was driving home I saw a too-familiar car that side-swiped a telephone pole. My 18-yr-old son was on his way to work and he is not experienced driving in snow. This is his car . Thank God, he is fine!!

Dang it, Tink!!! 8-o I'm glad he's OK.

Oh Glam I'm sorry about your knees.

Mine started to give me ouch signs which is why I do most of the big time exercising in water.

Have fun cleaning house........I should do a little of that too.

jj.....I would love to do water aerobics....but our Y is 25 minutes one way. Even so, I might look into the possibility. I know water aerobics are really the best for joints.

I just got notice from Nicoticket that he is adding extra eliquid to my bottles as a show of appreciation for my first order. Now, that is customer service! I hope I do like his ejuice.....it was voted #1 in the best of 2013 thread. Which gives me hope....but I have learned that the old saying "taste is subjective" is really, really, true.

Stone - it's my fave too. I've been cutting back on soft drinks and am usually sitting here in the evening with a glass of Simply Lemonade or oj. Sometimes it is a jigger or two of honey whiskey instead. ;)

I drink it with chia seeds...it's a health food thing. I can be healthy sometimes :D

Don't the chia seeds make your honey whiskey a little crunchy?

When I first started teaching here I had an 89 Camaro. I was involved in an accident with a semi and had my head hit the driver's window twice. Had a headache but otherwise was okay so never went to the doc. I have neck problems today and that its probably why, so I want to be sure Tink is on the lookout.

I was in an accident at 17 yo, on the way to high school. I was in the copilot seat of a Ford Pinto that hit a telephone pole in a wet, muddy ditch at 35mph. My sister was in the back seat behind me. None of us were wearing a seat belt. When the car hit the pole, my sister's foot hit the seat back rest release, so I hit the dashboard and windshield, then she hit me.

I was OK for years, but developed neck problems. I had most of it worked out by a Chiropractor in '86, but my work business closed and the insurance ran out. I continued to see him as long as I could while in college. My neck is basically OK now, but maybe this is why I have such a warped sense of humor. :D

Anyway, I agree with you Sun, that I hope Tink gets her son some immediate attention for his head and neck.

Tink - I'd take him in for an x-ray. Really. I only expect mine to keep getting worse with age unless I opt for surgery. The problems didn't show up for a long time so I can't pinpoint and say it was that wreck, just surmise.

When the weather clears up - not now!

This is so typical!!! Sometimes problems show up in months, and other times it can take years. I was 17 in the car accident, in my mid-20's when I noticed problems, and in my 30's when I began having real problems. I know that a lot of people don't believe in Chiropractors, but I chose that option over traditional medicine. I didn't want to be cut on. Whatever the avenue, I think X-Rays are in order.

I don't want to gross you out....but you let them sit in the juice for a little while and the seeds get a little slimy. They slide right down the gullet :D

You could prolly get them crushed, in a power form. Or in a power with whatever is good about them extracted.

welp, think I'll pass out for a while. Sun… enjoy your snow day!! See you guys laters…

Sleep well, TinkerBabe.

It make's me laugh

Another cute one. :)

Good morning beach! :)

It's getting up to around 25 today so I'm going out to the RW for a bit.

Good Morning, JJ.

I'm so glad that your doctor has confirmed your routine at the gym... of drinking smoothies at the bar and gawking at the hunks.

But on the serious side, if the knee gets worse, they have made marvelous advances on that. They can replace that worn cartilage now. I know people who have had it done, and they walk and do things like they were a teenager again. So you can bounce and jiggle for me when we meet. :D

I hope you love the Nicoticket juice. I may look into it, but knowing how much I save by DIY, it's hard for me to think about buying pre-made. And there's always the question of what's really in it. Some can tell me if there's any PG (because of Flavorings) and others can't.
