Good night, jj. Sweet dreams.

And now, it is my witching hour too. Hubs is leaving at 4 a.m. I will get up with him, and watch him drive off in the snow to drive north 350 miles to.....more snow!

Good night VG and Tink. Very glad only the car was hurt, Tink.

See you all tomorrow. :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

:D

I don't know if he has or not?? What's it for? Selling art? Socializing?

All I really know is that there are tons of Artists on there, displaying their works. Much of it is Photoshopped for special effects. I know a girl who lives here who has her stuff there, but I've run across it over the years when looking for pictures. He probably knows about it.

Good morning Beach :)

Yes, too bent to even tow. And yes, very thankful he is fine!! DH blames himself because he felt he should have told him to stay home instead of trying to go in. But… how is one to get experience driving on snow if they don't do it??

I LOVE your turtle prize!!
FWIW, my grandfather took me out (even before I had a learner's permit) driving just to teach me in the snow and ice. He drove me to a parking lot that was huge and open at a local stadium. He taught me how to do everything, including egging me into slides so that I could learn how to correct them. It was a huge amount of fun, completely educational, and we burned a couple tanks of gas doing it. I don't know if we could have gotten away with that these days since that was probably 3 decades ago, but I would recommend it if you can arrange something like that.
Stone....good night, and thanks for the bejeweled turtle. :)
You're welcome :D
Thanks! I feel like I am taking care of three kids!! My brother and my two sons  But I love my bro and try to help him when I can. He is literally one of those "starving artists" you always hear about.
I took some art classes in college. I once asked one of my professors about the possibility of earning a living, and he was very frank about the life of a studio artist. I'm still grateful that he told me the truth, because it really can be difficult. That professor basically said that a "professional" has to have 2 kinds of art....one is the "prostitution" art that pays the bills, and the other is the personal art that is your true expression. Additionally, PBS ran an expose recently that discussed the life of a studio artist these days. It made me glad that I didn't have to struggle trying to make it in the artworld these days. I would implode trying to "sell" my own personal work to dealers and galleries

Good Thursday morning, Stone and the rest of you, Beachers.....

th

Sorry I drank all the coffee...will make some more at a decent hour. :)

Probably a very wise decision, Stone. My brother was/is an artist....very gifted. He worked for Disney for a while drawing cartoon characters for the theme park in Florida. He could whip out a beautiful oil painting....mostly landscapes and charicatures...in just a few hours. But he gave it up and became a private detective. He now teaches security classes for the state of Fl. That makes me sad, because not many people have the talent he has. It always amazed me to watch him paint, creating beauty from just pictures in his mind.

I am up waiting for time to feed my cats.....then back to bed. Had coffee with hubs and watched him drive off in the dark, as excited as a little boy. He does love to snowmobile. I like it too....for a couple of hours. But that crew he goes with travels all day. To me, if you have seen one mile of snow-covered north woods, you have seen them all. And today, he is going to drive right into snow to get there. Be safe, hubs.

Sometimes they do see wild life....bears, wild turkeys, and herds of deer, an occasional fox, and lots of birds. Our friends have a huge deck with a glassed 4 seasons room.....they feed all the wild life, and it is fun to sit out there and watch all the animals come to feed.

I am going to piddle today....cleaning before sis comes. Much warmer temps here...it has all moved east. Sorry, eastern Beachers. Not to worry...it will be back here starting tomorrow.:)

Hi and Night Sun :) Sleep well!

I did! I was so wound up over the dog incident that I was exhausted.

One good thing about having today off: Taxes are filed, refund coming!

Sipping alcoholic coffee! It's nice to start the day with a little buzzzzzzzz.... :D

Good morning, Dale, did you bring coffee? And hi to Stone again. I revised my post Stone, after I read yours. I really admire people with creativity.
Thanks for mentioning that. I admire them too...I do know that I haven't "exercised those muscles" in a long time, and couldn't possibly make it these days. Perhaps with some practice/repetition, I could get some of it back. I do wish we as a country could once again value artists of all types, but with those educational programs having been axed years ago I think it will be a long time before artists find a place in wide society.

EDIT: Good morning Sun :)
