OMG, Beachers. On the way home a strange object appeared in the sky. I was really afraid at first, but soon realized it did not seem to want to hurt me. It was rather warm.....but I still would like to know what it was.

Can anyone here tell me what this is? And am I in any danger from it?

I'm much better now that I'm home with dry socks on My waterproof snow boots met their match today

Hey beachmates . The biggest snowfall in 3 years and I get to spend it at work I didn't go home this morning because the roads were icy. We got ~6 inches of snow but then a lot of sleet on top of that. I considered trying to go home but knew if anything happened I would have to listen to DH say "I told you so!" I have to go back to the OR in 2 hours for another 12-hr shift

This is just a guess, but I think none of the stores around here have snow boots That would have to be a web purchase from California

With all the snow and ice NY gets regularly, the stores don't carry waterproof snow boots? That just don't sound right. Or are you pulling my leg?

Yes, I watched 3 episodes of 1978. Now I know where those Darth Vaper crossed with "Night Rider" looking Cylons came from , and what they're all about. A race of Lizards called Cylons that made themselves into human form (after meeting mankind), came to hate mankind and wanted to destroy them. They created the "Machines" (if you will, or maybe Robots is better), and made them so well that the Machines survived them when they went extinct. The Machines are still referred to as Cylons, still carrying that mission.

Here in NY, there are already short sleeve shirts in the stores...snow boots would have been in the stores about 2 months ago

Well, I'm honestly glad you feel the same about the 70's stuff. We talked about liking the newer technology and special effects. But I wanted to get the back story. I remember seeing Lorne Green in what must have been reruns on SciFi years ago when I had Cable TV. I'll finish the original and move on.
