I talked to them yesterday and they said it was sun spots. This is what they usually blame it on.
OB water heaters around here don't even last ten years. The water has a lot of metal in it. Wish the water department would do something about it. They should considering we have the highest rates in the area!!
Have you thought about a household water purification unit? They are placed between the city water supply and your house water inlet. They clean the water supply to the whole house. There are different types and sizes... some passive with chemicals (like activated carbon), some working on Reverse Osmosis (RO) in the filtration process, and some in a combination of RO and also needing electricity.
A household water purification unit would make you water taste better and be much healthier for your body, make your showers feel better, make your clothes washer and dishwasher work better, and help the appliances like your water heater last longer.
We need some metals in our bodies, and the water department knows this, but they are probably using them in the initial purification process and not taking enough of them back out in the final stages. If there are enough metals in the city water to damage your water heater, they are probably damaging your body, too.
Thank You Dale. I`ve been very blessed I not only married a Great lady but I married into a Great family. They took me and my kid`s in as if they were there own and I have the same with them. I`m a very Lucky man

Add now I`ve meet all of you Great people
so my life just keeps getting better
I say the same thing. I said it in that poem.
Same here jj we have a lot of lime in are area so yeah 10yrs if your lucky
You may want to consider a household water purification unit, too. That Lime is probably not good for your body, either.
If any of you only want to consider your Drinking water, you can get an under-sink RO unit at stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. They use 2 and 3 canisters for filtering, with a main canister that is used in the RO process, and they have a storage
tank that is usually a gallon or a little more that sits under the sink, like in the kitchen. They come with a Water Tap that mounts above the sink so you can fill a glass, a coffee pot, or whatever with cleaned water.
Reverse Osmosis makes the cleanest water you can get, short of the Distillation process, and it is very close to being that good.
Around here when you become part of the family, you are always part of the family. We don't pay any attention to divorces or (and sadly) deaths.
My family is the same way.

You've gotta be kidding!
Sun Spots is a viable answer, as long as it's the actual problem. If one uses a Satellite Internet system, Sun Spots can have detrimental effects. So can cloudy days and other weather conditions, things like airplanes, and anything else that interrupts the signal between the source and your dish. Satellites are also used to get an Internet signal around the world, in some cases.
