Here's the scoop. It doesn't really hurt right now, because of the anesthetics they put on it and then in it. The doctor cut off about a 1/8" piece of the whole nail along the inside of the toenail (the right side). This is the toe that was damaged last year (I believe I wrote about that). The whole nail eventually fell off and it grew back really crazy. I asked if this was going to take care of it from here, forward, and he said "It depends on how it grows back this time." So we'll have some follow-ups. I have one in 2 weeks, but I don't know what that will tell him. I guess mostly checking for infections and proper healing. I was given a document of care procedures to do myself.
It doesn't hurt now, but I'm starting to feel it. The procedure was done about 9:30 and it's 11:20 now. They gave me Motrin, and I hope that's all I'll need.
Had both son's big toes done and they put some stuff where they removed a part to stop it from growing back, and it worked.
Still dealing with trim...almost the never ending story.

Brunch time!

), it was cool to watch, but it took almost two years for the toes to look normal again. But I haven't had an ingrown in the 15 years since. I hope yours heals perfect.
Been there, done that. 8-o
