Are the contractors paying to replace your plants?

Different contractor....had quick access to the one hard-to-find arb. Generally warranties on plant replacements are good if the plant is completely dead. These are not, but they're dead enough (like the whole windward side) that they won't fill in, even after years. The others are spotty but I'm sure will fill in.

I had to act quickly (after the roofers) because they will soon cease digging arborvitae until later in the season due to heat issues.

I was reminded of it when you said "Bounty Hunter." It's Phil Busardo's favorite, so I hear it a lot, and I know it's 100% VG. I thought it might be made by Bounty Hunter.

Good deal, Lisa. Sorry to hear about your Arbor Vitae.....mine made it, but one has a huge area of winter burn in it. But several perennials did not make it....lost both my Heath plants, and my big orange Mum that was beautiful last year. What a winter!

Am happy you found replacements....I love Arbor Vitae. Mine are the Emerald Green species and are such beautiful trees.

Yes, they are really nice - my 7ft ones are/were Emerald Greens....the others are Holmstrup, a smaller cultivar, since they are close to the house. Those are the ones that are not easy to get in a large size.

Yes, they are really nice - my 7ft ones are/were Emerald Greens....the others are Holmstrup, a smaller cultivar, since they are close to the house. Those are the ones that are not easy to get in a large size.

Mine that has the huge spot of winter burn...(also northwest side), I am hoping will fill in when the needles finally fall off. Time will tell....we might have to take it out. Hopefully when you move, you will not have to deal with winters that kill things we have nurtured and come to love.

You have not seen the laundry list of plants that have come and gone here! I kept thinking, "but I grew that in Ohio; I should be able to grow it here!".......WRONG.

And this time, I really am going to shut down. Still have to do a few things before bed....and am getting up early to travel with my girlfriends tomorrow to a tea room for lunch...about 50 miles away. There will be antique shopping too, but I will just be a tag-a-long since I do not buy antiques.

And it is supposed to storm, with a high of 67...should be an interesting day.
