Evening, Beachers.......

Pepper....you have been immersing your soul for the last month....how much restoration does your soul need? It must be bad! :D

Lisa.....Congratulations and enjoy your evening.

Well, in spite of the pouring rain most of the day, we had a fun time shopping and eating. First we hit up some home decorating shops, which I loved. Then, lunch in the tea room was fabulous....home made and we all loved what we had. I had quiche and strawberry salad, and then we split a chocolate layer cake for dessert. Afterwards, we hit up every antique store in the two block area. I bought nothing, but had a good time with my friends. I look around in those stores and see a bunch of junk....the others see treasure.

Hi, Dale.....yes, the chocolate cake was one of the day's highlights. The only things I bought was a scarf and a new wine bottles/grapes glass cutting board. So hubs was relieved that I was a good girl, thinking only of saving his money.

The rain had erroneously been taken out of the forecast, saying it was going to move east. Well, it moved as far east as our shopping trip, and then stopped moving. Only one of us had a jacket...no umbrellas and we got drenched. One of the stores we stopped at gave us plastic bags to put over our heads, which we all used. Not a pretty sight, but the bags sure were welcomed. :)

LOL.....I remember when everyone over the age of 40 used those.

You are right...not a fashion statement, but we would have paid dearly for those today. My hair was plastered to my hair sprayed head....I am surprised the other gals could even eat with a sight like that at the table.

If you didn't wear them, with all that hairspray, there was fixing things! 8-o

I loved PE but always hated first hour PE. Killed the hair and the makeup!

You could use these. I've seen people in the pool do it.

    Wouldn't you look snazzy!
 I'll stick with my clear one :p

My mom always used those to cover bowls in the fridge.....I have bought them, but they always rip when I try to stretch them over a bowl. The idea is great if you could find those in a good quality material. I would use them because I get tired of digging around in my plastic bowl drawer for the right lid.

    This is me!

You saw me coming, didn't ya?? :sneaky:

LOL....Hi, Tink, and good night, Dale. Hope you catch up on your sleep.

Tink...you would have been in antique heaven today....in a two square block area, there were probably 15 antique shops. I was sitting in a chair in one of the shops, waiting on the others, and looking around thinking, "You could not give me this junk." LOL...different strokes.
