Good for you, that you and hubs can enjoy that together. The only, quaint or otherwise, shop I can get my hubs into are the ones that have the words Bass, Lumber, or Hardware in the title.
Is that quaint or paint?

Well, he probably wouldn't go on his own. But he is a sweetheart so will go with me. And I hate to shop for clothes, but I like browsing in those stores. Maybe we can buy some Christmas presents while we are here - fingers crossed!

She is a funny, witty lady for sure! We don't 'talk' (email) as often as we used to, but do still keep in touch. She did try popping back in here. But yes, she is busy in the RW and I just don't think she has the time to do the forum

I don't know if I could fly a kite. I really don't remember trying. I remember one time when I was a young girl, I wanted mom to go get me a kite. I think my friend across the street had got one or something. So, mom (probably busy cleaning or doing laundry or something) wouldn't go get one for me. I acted ugly (don't remember specifics) and got a thorough set-down for that. Maybe even got grounded - can't remember. Funny how that comes to mind now. I haven't thought about it in decades.
